The US is so shit, their best player is a 19 year old, their coach is a tactically inept and they don't bother including any energy and youth into their teams. They need a ground-up redo like Germany in the early 2000s. But I feel this failure is a big blow to the US football market.

You want to build a team to win, look at the countries that do it right. USSF was more concerned about making MLS players look good than they were about building a team that could compete in CONCACAF.

The best thing klinsmann ever said was when asked about his thoughts on MLS. "The MLS and the US has a very odd approach to development. In MLS you don't get to play much until you are 22 and leave college. Over seas if you aren't a star by 22 you are most likely never going to become one". It's not a perfect quote but it says a lot of truth in America's failures to develop young talent. If it weren't for pulisic who would anyone consider a "great/Good" US player.

The other difference is that college basketball and college football basically ARE professional sports in terms of coaching and training. College football especially has coaching staffs that make millions. College soccer? Not so much.
