Casey pitched a tent this summer in Los Angeles, where Griffin and several Pistons teammates make their off-season base, and was more than impressed with the structure and intensity of Griffin’s off-season. He called it “surgical,” the extents to which Griffin went, including hiring a full team of players in addition to a personal trainer so he could put himself in simulated game situations.

The story line of mvp has a lot to do with why they win it. Lebron could win mvp each year but we expect that of him, so he just makes all nba teams while guys may snap off that year for themselves but still don’t measure up. I agree though it doesn’t make much sense

I forget what season it was, but I think Chris Paul was out with an extended injury and Blake took over the offense, and he was easily the third best player in the league that year.
