世界音乐打破传统流行乐的单一，是以流行－民族－传统－先锋－当代－国际相结合的混合体，世界各地有很多定义于世界音乐属性和范畴音乐节、音乐周、音乐季等演出项目和活动，并始终充斥及影响着世界的各个角落。

音乐作为连接世界的语言，不同的语言也将会在各式的旋律中与观众找到共鸣与共性。与普遍意义上的音乐会所不同的是，北京世界音乐周将继续呈现其世界音乐风格的独特性，不流行也不独立，不妥协也不固执，你看到或者听到的，一定是你稀罕看到或听到的。近年，我们一次又一次的被世界音乐、被世界音乐家们打动，并连续三年致力于“世界音乐”的引入与演出交流，因为它特别适合小剧场、艺术空间等场地，世界音乐表演的的另一种价值精髓就是艺术家和倾听者之间珍贵的无距离交流体验。
此次的演出阵容丰富充实，不乏世界顶尖的表演团队。无论是来自热情奔放国度巴西的Juninho e Alan Duo 、苍茫辽阔内蒙古的Ganzi Duo乐队，还是结合了抒情蓝调和力量摇滚元素创造出富有拉丁韵律的美国Incendio乐队，都会用音乐将你带入新奇的异域世界，犹如完成了一次耳朵的深度国际旅游。而来自于马拉西亚的Bihzhu，不光拥有富有魔性的声音和迷人的微笑，还曾登顶美国独立音乐歌舞曲类冠军；中、法、美、澳、加拿大五国音乐人组成的Mademoiselle et son Orchestre将经典法语歌曲与自创作品融合，带来混合着吉普赛爵士曲风的多变音乐。
更值得一提的是中国的大忘杠乐队，音乐风格涵盖了世界音乐、民谣、实验摇滚乐与现代交响乐。BBC曾称大忘杠是“ 一个打破音乐与文化的界限，汇集过去和现在以及亚洲民乐，声乐艺术，中*歌国**剧和摇滚于一体的乐队。”

碧珠 （马来西亚）
荣获2013独立之声音乐奖项的“年度歌曲”奖项及获得在美国举办的第12届独立音乐奖项中歌舞曲类的“*意民**冠军”奖项。出生于槟城的歌女碧珠拥有丰富及深情的声音和一颗满怀对艺术热爱的心。距2013年槟岛爵士音乐节她在城市之景所带来的惊喜的演出以来，碧珠继续用富有魔性的声音，以原声演唱会来亲密接触来自槟城，吉隆坡，印度尼西亚，墨尔本以及澳大利亚的观众。
2011年7月，碧珠被当选作为一位最具有特色的艺术家参与了由茱莉饼干赞助的全国“分享爱”活动。 她的音乐贡献，以及她那感染性和迷人的微笑就如民谣流行的宝石。歌曲“The heart way”心的方向，也被收纳作为槟城全球旅游业广告歌曲，并被著名奢侈女鞋品牌Jimmy Choo作为广告背景音乐，分别在10个不同的国家中的14个电视频道中播出。

2013年，碧珠启动了＃婴儿床音乐会 系列，将近一个月的演出配合流媒体科技形成了近距离室内演唱会的风格，携手来自各地的嘉宾艺术家，如携手马来西亚当红DJ像 Kavin Jay凯文.杰，PM王，同时段的向全球范围内的如来自马来西亚，英国，美国，澳大利亚，阿联酋，菲律宾，印度尼西亚，泰国以及新加坡的观众们展现了一场私人家庭音乐会的模式。
与此同时，碧珠在2014年5月参演了由屡获奖项的潘出品的史蒂芬.桑德海姆的音乐剧“快乐向前行”。

2013 Voice Independent Music Awards “Song of the Year” winner and “Vox-Pop Winner” in the Cabaret Song category for the USA-based 12th Independent Music Awards, the Penang-born songstress BIHZHU is blessed with a rich, soulful voice and a whole lot of heart. Fresh from her rapturous performances at Urbanscapes and the Penang Island Jazz Festival late 2013, Bihzhu continues to enchant audiences, from intimate acoustic concerts to music festivals in Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia, and Melbourne, Australia.
In July 2011, Bihzhu was chosen as one of the featured artists in Julie’s Biscuit’s nationwide Share The Love campaign. Her contribution, the infectious and smile-inducing folk-pop gem, The Heart Way, was also chosen for a Penang Global Tourism ad featuring the famed shoe couturier Dato’ Jimmy Choo on the Asian Food Channel that aired for 14 weeks in 10 different countries.
Combining elements of jazz, soul, reggae, and pop with her debut album “Nightingale Tales”, her genuine songcraft celebrates love, beauty, and life’s most treasured moments. Her uplifting tunes have received much airplay on Malaysia’s national radio stations 9.88FM, Capital FM, BFM Radio, Traxx FM, Hitz.FM, RedFM as well as the Los Angeles- based ‘Woman of Substance’ radio and Minneapolis’ Big Brain Radio Show in the United States.
In 2013, Bihzhu started the #CribConcert series, a monthly show that paired the intimacy of a house concert with the technology of live streaming, where a different guest artiste and Bihzhu herself would stage a private concert from the comfort of a home of hosts like popular radio DJs Kavin Jay, PM Wang and others, while broadcasting to a worldwide audience from Malaysia, UK, USA, Australia, UAE, Phillippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.
Bihzhu also made her acting and musical theater debut in May 2014 in Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along”, staged by the award-winning Pan Productions.

保罗音乐工作坊（阿根廷）
拉美旋律与当代编曲的结合运用
目标群体：音乐专业学生，音乐家和作曲／编曲家，无相关专业背景亦可。
目的：用不同的节奏模式概述拉美音乐流派，表明在原创音乐和现有的组合物的新版本应用，并展现原创音乐与新元素的有机结合。
技能：确定拉美旋律特点的基本要素。并在世界范围内对其在不同音乐种类使用进行比较。
技术要求：投影机连接笔记本电脑。钢琴或电子键盘。音频系统与室内规格相匹配。

胡安是一个作曲家，编曲家，指挥家，键盘手和音乐教育家，来自阿根廷。他以优异成绩获得伯克利音乐学院爵士作曲硕士学位和纽约大学的音乐作曲的硕士学位。
他设计了课程“拉丁美洲美国的音乐”，位于布宜诺斯艾利斯的纽约全球学术中心。他在伯克利国际网络（BIN）当代音乐学院（EMC）以及布宜诺斯艾利斯塔玛巴学院教授作曲、合声和改编.

他指引了很多阿根廷当代流行乐坛有影响力的团体，例如70年代的“特里希米娜”乐队，80年代的“蛋”乐队，90年代的“猴子的刀”。后者在1985-1995年间被奉为世界五强之一的爵士乐团。他为迪亚戈.乌克拉2004年格莱美奖提名专辑“音之舞”担任制作。其自制作品“万岁”获得2007年格莱美奖提名。
他致力于创作自己的音乐，录音并推动公演。近期，他带领自己的乐队“Raffo”为他们的第三张专辑“南马尔多纳多／音乐之花 第三章”做一些介绍。并为接下来的第四张筹备素材。
同时，他为一些阿根廷过去三年来最杰出的流行音乐艺术家做过编曲，键盘手及音乐制作人。例如：沃克斯·德、莫里斯、米格尔·冈帝罗等。
Latin American Rhythms Applied to Contemporary Composition and Arranging
Designed for: music students, musicians in general, and composers/arrangers in particular. Not minimum level of knowledge and/or experience needed
Goals: give an overview of de different rhythmic patterns used in Latin American music genres and show its application in both original music pieces and new versions of existing compositions
Mechanics: Through listening and groupal practice, identify and define the basic elements that characterize the rhythms of Latin America. Compare them with those used in other musics from around the world. Recognize similarities and differences. Analyze compositions that make use of them. Outline an arrangement or version of a well-known piece of music using one or more rhythms from Latin America
Technical requirements: projector to connect a laptop computer. Piano or electric keyboard. Audio system appropriate for the size of the room

Juan “Pollo” Raffo is a composer, arranger, conductor, keyboardist and music educator from Argentina. He received a Summa Cum Laude Diploma in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Arts degree in Music Composition from New York University, a graduate degree he obtained on a Fulbright scholarship.
He has designed the course “The Music of Latin America”, which he teaches at the NYU Global Academic Center in Buenos Aires. He also teaches composition, harmony and arranging at the Escuela de Música Contemporánea (EMC), member of the Berklee International Network (BIN), and at the Tamaba Institute in Buenos Aires. He has been music teacher at the Traveling School of the Argentinian Ministerio de Educación and at the “Músicos por la Identidad” project, coordinated by Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo. He recently wrote, in collaboration with Laura Cambra, the article “A Newer Tango coming from the Past” for the book “Music and Young Culture in Latin America” published by Oxford University Press.
He has led various influential groups in the Argentinian contemporary popular music scene, such as Trigémino in the 70’s, El Güevo (“The Egg”) in the 80’s, and Monos con Navajas (“Monkeys with Knives,” co-led with bassist Willy González) in the 90's, the latter commended by Konex foundation as one of the top five jazz ensembles in the decade spanning 1985-1995. He has produced the 2004 Grammy-nominee album “Soundances” by Diego Urcola and contributed with his compositions to the 2007 Grammy-nominee “Viva”, by the same artist and featuring Paquito D’Rivera and Dave Samuels.
He is devoted to writing his own music and organizing ensembles for its recording and public performance. Currently, he’s leading his band “Raffo” for the presentations of its third album: “Al Sur del Maldonado / Música de Flores Vol. 3”, participating in the collective Real Book Argentina and rehearsing the material for the upcoming fourth album
Simultaneously, he has worked as an arranger, keyboardist and/or musical director for some of the most outstanding artists of the last three decades of Argentinian popular music. Among them: Vox Dei, Moris, Miguel Cantilo, León Gieco, Nito Mestre, Roque Narvaja, Juan Carlos Baglietto, Soda Stereo, Fontova, Sueter, Celeste Carballo, Manuel Wirzt, Los Piojos, Divididos, Ratones Paranoicos, Ciro y los Persas, Juanse, Los Gardelitos, El Bordo, and No Te Va Gustar.

烈火乐队 (美国)
同属于世界音乐组合Incendio一部分的卡贝.杜兰德拉拉丁吉他二人组，他们将改变的原创音乐，以及装饰来自其他艺术家的流行音乐的原形，呈现在两把尼龙弦吉他上。他们以炙热的方式来演奏西班牙吉他，用他们的激情与活力来感染到场的每一位观众。他们结合温暖的抒情蓝调和具有力量的摇滚元素，来创造出富有拉丁韵律的浪漫旋律。
另外，他们以二重唱组合的形式在整个美国内外进行了15年的演出。组合有八张CD及相应视频皆在他们的YouTube频道，同时都在世界各地多家电台*放播**。
在没有演出计划的淡季，他们则忙于制作电视，电影以及游戏的音乐，例如《孤岛惊魂3》，《星际迷航》，以及热门电影“最爆伴娘团”，“法律与秩序”等电影配乐的制作。
Durand Latin guitar duo are part of the world music group Incendio. They fashion their original music (as well as popular songs by other artists) on two nylon string guitars. Their fiery approach to playing the Spanish guitar excites and invigorates audiences everywhere they perform. They mix Latin rhythms and romantic melodies with heart felt blues and rock energy.
Besides performing as the duo they have been performing for fifteen years with their group Incendio all over the U.S and beyond. Incendio has eight CD’s commercially available as well as multiple videos on their youtube channel and can be heard on numerous radio station all over the world.
When the duo is not performing, they are busy writing production music that has been used in television, movies and games such as Far Cry 3, “Star Trek”, the hit movie “Bridesmaids”, “Law and Order” and many more.

图利古尔‘刚子’乐队 (内蒙古)
从最初的一人编配，用人声与琴声角力，到如今二人组合，相辅相成，图利古尔不仅延续了音乐中一贯的画面感和张力，更进一步丰富音乐的形式和内容，为听者铺陈了一幅隐藏在现代都市背后自由开阔的草原景象。他们的音乐着意于个体生命之于生活经验的切身感受，将传统与现代结合，藉此独特的艺术形式将真实的情感再现于听者，用吉他、打击乐和呼麦向世界展示别样的蒙古风情。
主创刚子，来自内蒙古呼伦贝尔盟，古典音乐的学习背景为他日后转型摇滚乐创作打下了坚实的基础。2004年刚子从内蒙古来到北京，正式开始了自己的创作和演绎生涯，次年回到呼伦贝尔草原深处，在与自然的亲密接触中自学蒙古族传统的呼麦，并尝试将其与现代摇滚乐相结合，创造了自己独特的艺术风格。
伴奏吉他／打击乐手宗璨，都市游侠般地活跃于全国各地乃至世界，丰富的演出经历成就了他对城市生活的独特理解，对不同民族文化的好奇和探索，也拓展了他音乐的广度，再加上充满魅力的舞台表现力，成为了图利古尔音乐中不可或缺的部分。近年来，他们频繁活跃在欧洲各地音乐节上，如在2013年周游法国，英国，芬兰，瑞典，德国，荷兰等欧洲六国进行巡演。

Mademoiselle et son Orchestre是一个北京的六人组合乐队。他们演奏的曲目由经典的法语歌曲和自创作品组成，在中国独树一帜。过去的几年中，该乐队多次参加了在中国不同城市举办的促进法语和法国文化的活动。他们的音乐灵感在很
大程度上来自于吉普赛爵士音乐（jazz manouche）
这一曲风于上世纪30年代诞生于法国，是由Django Reinhardt和Stéphane Grappelli创立的音乐风格。正是在这一欢快曲风的基础上，Mademoiselle et son Orchestre重新演绎了Piaf, Brassens, Gainsbourg及其他著名歌手的很多经典之作。乐队的原创作品诙谐幽默，将听众们带到了 Mademoiselle令人惊奇的超现实世界。
乐队的创始人，Mademoiselle (Marie-Claude LeBel,玛丽卡)是一名兼作词家、作曲家和歌手多重身份为一身的多才多艺的艺人。
