考点 一 I like to talk and play games with people.我喜欢与人们交谈和做游戏。

people集合名词，意为“人；人们”，表示复数意义，作主语时谓语动词用复数。

[拓展]①people之前加定冠词，常用来指“人民”。

②people用作可数名词，意为“民族”，有复数形式，也可与不定冠词连用。the peoples of Europe欧洲各民族

Many people are in the store today.今天商店里有许多人。

考点 二 We need help at the old people’s home. 我们老人之家需要帮助。

辨析：home，family与house

home 家，指一个人出生或居住的地方，强调归属感。

family 家庭，指由父母、子女所组成的家庭，是集合名词，既可把它看成单数（指整体概念)，也可视为复数（指家庭成员）。

house 房子，指供一家人住的房子，侧重于具体的建筑物。

[拓展]home作副词，意为“到家；在家”。

His home is near the station.他家在车站附近。

His family is a big one.他的家庭是一个大家庭。

My family are all watching TV.我的家人都在看电视。

There are four rooms in the house.这所房子有四个房间。

I usually go home at five o’clock. 我通常5点钟回家。

考点 三 They can tell you stories，and you can make friends.他们会给你讲故事，你又可以交朋友。

(1)make friends意为“结交朋友”；若表示“与某人交朋友”，需用make friends with sb.。

(2)make用作及物动词，意为“使成为”，后可接复合宾语。

①“make sb. /sth.+形容词”表示“使某人/某物处于某种状态”。

②“make sb.+名词”意为“使某人成为”。

[拓展]make用作及物动词还可表示“制造，做”。make sb. sth.=make sth. for sb.意为“为某人制作某物”。

I want to make friends with you.我想和你交朋友。

Books can make me happy. 书能使我快乐。

Our teacher makes Jack our monitor.我们老师让杰克当我们的班长。

Can you make bread?你会制作面包吗？

考点 四 Are you busy after school?放学后你忙吗？

busy形容词，意为“忙碌的”，反义词是free，意为“空闲的”。

常见搭配：be busy with sth.意为“忙于某事＂；be busy doing sth.意为“忙于做某事”。

My uncle is busy with his work. 我叔叔正忙于他的工作。

I am busy doing my homework. 我正忙着做我的家庭作业。

考点 五 Then we need you to help with sports for English-speaking students.那么我们需要你帮助说英语的学生开展体育活动。

(1)need此处用作实义动词，意为“需要”。此时need有人称和数的变化，主要有以下用法：

1. need sth.需要某物

②need to do sth.需要做某事

③need doing sth.需要做某事（表示被动，主语常为物）

④need sb. to do sth.需要某人做某事

[拓展]need还可用作情态动词，意为“需要”，没有时态、人称和数的变化，后接动词原形，多用于否定句或疑问句。

I think I need a new one.我认为我需要一个新的。

He needs to make some friends.他需要结交一些朋友。

I need you to go with me. 我需要你和我一起去。

The room needs cleaning.这个房间需要打扫。

You needn’t worry about me.你不必担心我。

—Need I come tomorrow?明天我需要来吗？

—No, you needn’t. 不，你没有必要来。

(2)help with sth.意为“在某方面给予帮助”，with后常接名词或名词短语。

[拓展]help sb.with sth.=help sb.(to)do sth.意为“帮助某人做某事”。

We always help with the clean-up.我们总是帮着大扫除。

I often help him with his English. =I often help him (to) learn English. 我经常帮助他学英语。

(3)English--speaking是由English和speaking合成的一个形容词，意为“说英语的”。

There are many English-speaking countries in the world.世界上有许多说英语的国家。

考点 六 Do you have time on the weekend?周末你有时间吗？

(1)have time意为“有时间；有空”，相当于be free。因此上句还可与“Are you free on the weekend?＂互换。

(2)on the weekend(=on weekends)意为“（在）周末”，英式英语中，用at the weekend(=at weekends)。其中weekend为名词，意为“周末”；其对应词为weekday，意为“工作日”。

I have time on Monday.在周一我有时间。

I’m free on the weekend/on weekends.我周末有空。

He is very busy on weekdays.他在工作日很忙。

考点 七 The school needs help to teach music.学校需要（有人来）帮助教音乐。

teach及物动词，意为“教，讲授”，其第三人称单数形式为teaches，其名词形式为teacher(教师)。

常用结构：teach sth.教某事；teach sb. sth.教某人某事；teach sb. to do sth.教某人做某事；teach oneself自学。

Ms. Zhao teaches English in a school.赵女士在一所学校教英语。

Mr. Green teaches us English.格林先生教我们英语。

My father will teach me to swim next week.下周我父亲将教我游泳。

John often teaches himself English after school.约翰经常放学后自学英语。
