7月30日，2019年湛江市青少年游泳锦标赛在湛江市跳水运动学校举行。我市共164名青少年参加了比赛。
此次比赛的项目包括自由泳、混合泳、蛙泳、仰泳、蝶泳，以及４ｘ100米自由泳接力赛等44个项目。记者在现场看到，每位小运动员都奋力拼搏、劈波斩浪(如图，记者吴明澈摄)，现场观众热情高涨，纷纷为参赛选手呐喊助威。
当天下午决出成绩，其中霞山、麻章、赤坎、吴川等地区代表队，分别以497、266、257、255的综合总分，位列前四。
主办方相关负责人表示，希望通过比赛形式，鼓励我市青少年积极提高身体素质，展示昂扬奋发的青春风采。
