AEK showed at San Siro crowd that they are a serious opponent as they walked away with a very respectable 0-0 draw and they’re currently nicely placed in 2nd, two points ahead of Rijeka while AC Milan lead this Group D with 7 points.
Two things became evident when these two faced off just a couple of weeks ago that let us to affirm this meeting will not be an easy one for the Italians. Firstly, we saw that AC Milan have it within them to be unproductive in front of goal, and, secondly, it became clear that AEK are a team who’re capable of mixing it at this level, especially from a defensive point of view.
AEK are expected to set up defensively, despite playing in front of a home crowd, they can keep things tight and frustrate, as was the case just a few weeks ago.
All things considered, the Greeks know that their only real hope is to make life as tough as possible for AC Milan, and to do that they need to be both disciplined and patient. A lack of goals is once again expected when these two teams face off, so at least AEK catching one point bringing another draw in this game against Milan is likely to happen again.
