The architecture is a silent poetry, a piece of solid music. Great buildings can always pass through time and come into your eyes, branded with the development of times. All kinds of buildings are not only the designers’ ingenuity, but also constitute the city system. The above forms the first impression of a city.

Jianye Album will first start with the architecture. We will take you to explore the unique language of different buildings and interpret its style through them. Today we will first go to Olympic Sports Center! Let us go together to touch the heart of sports and the source of vigour in Jianye.
奥体中心位于河西新城中心区域，地铁10号线、地铁2号线可双双直达，交通极为便利。再看其建筑外观，气势恢宏，远看如两条红色的飘带舞动在天地之间，展现出一种灵动跳跃的青春朝气。
Olympic Sports Center is located in the central area of Hexi New District. The traffic is very convenient for you, and either Metro Line 10 or Metro Line 2 is available. Look at the appearance of the building, it’s magnificent. It looks like two red ribbons dancing between sky and earth at a distance, showing the youthful vigor full of nimbus.
据了解，整个场馆的外观设计由美国霍克公司担纲完成。主体为灰色调，凸显了南京传统民居和明城墙的底色，而上空的金陵红则升华了古典与现代相融合的气质，表达出体育运动的活力、热烈与动感。
It is learnt that the entire venue is designed by the US HOK. The dominant hue is gray, highlighting the basic color of traditional Nanjing residential and Nanjing City Wall of the Ming Dynasty. And the Jinling red underlines the temperament blending classical and modern elements to express fervent and dynamic feelings of sports.

国家级体育场馆
作为一个多功能复合型国家级体育场馆，奥体中心主要由“四场馆二中心”构成，包括体育场（含训练场）、体育馆、游泳馆、网球馆、体育科技中心和文体创业中心。整个场馆可同时容纳8.7万人。
As a multi-functional compound national sports venue, the Olympic Sports Center is mainly composed of four venues and two centers, including the stadium (training ground is included), gymnasium, natatorium, tennis hall, sports research center and culture & sport center. The entire venue can accommodate 87,000 people at the same time.
体育之光
雕塑家吴显林
东广场文化墙大型浮雕“体育之光”，由著名雕塑家吴显林设计创作，据说由40多名雕刻工人耗时3个月才制作完成。
The large relief Sports Light on the cultural wall in the East Square is created by the famous sculptor Wu Xianlin. It is said that more than 40 carving workers spent three months completing the work.
奥体中心主体育馆屋面为流畅的马鞍形，设计灵感来自于对彩虹的赞美。体育场的田径、足球热身场均按最高标准建设，即使雨天比赛也丝毫不受影响。体育馆从背面看像一个太空舱，换个角度看起来又像飞船，充满了科幻感。游泳馆灵感源自对海螺、贝壳等海洋生命的联想凸显出“体育与海洋”的主题。网球中心的屋顶就像层层相叠的莲花瓣，美丽纯净。
The smooth saddle-shaped roof of the main Olympic Sports Center is inspired from the praise of the rainbow. The track and field, football warm-up field are constructed according to the highest standard and the games in the rainy days would not be halted. The stadium looks like a capsule from the back, and a spacecraft from another side, full of sci-fi feelings. The natatorium is inspired by the association of conches, shells and other marine life, highlighting the theme of sports and the ocean. The roof of the tennis center is like lotus petals layer upon layer, beautiful and pure.
独特的造型、高标准的设施配备，让奥体中心魅力绽放！从2004年底建成、2005年正式运行到如今，奥体中心先后举办过多场有影响力的文化体育赛事。落成之初全国十运会就在这里盛大举行。2013年第二届中国南京亚洲青年运动会、2014年第二届中国南京夏季青年奥运会的举办，更吸引了来自全世界的目光。这里还是江苏苏宁足球俱乐部的主场。
The unique shape and high standard facilities make the charming Olympic Sports Center eye-catching! It was completed at the end of 2004, and officially put into use in 2005. The Olympic Sports Center has held a number of influential cultural and sports events since then. As soon as the center was completed, the 10th National Games was held here. 2013 the 2nd Nanjing Asian Youth Games, 2014 Nanjing Summer Youth Olympic Games were held here, attracting the attention around the world. Here is also the home of Jiangsu Suning Football Club.

青春洋溢，热情涌动，奥体中心还成为潮流文化的聚集地。著名歌手王菲、朴树、李健、刘若英、梁静茹、周杰伦、陈奕迅等都在这里举办过演唱会。俄罗斯大马戏团等外国表演团体也争相在此举办演出。
The Olympic Sports Center has become a gathering place of fashionable culture full of youth and passion. Famous singers held their concerts here, such as Faye Wong, Pu Shu, Li Jian, Ren'e Liu, Liang Jingru, Jay Chou, Eason Chan and so on. Russian circus and other fomatchreign performing groups also compete to perform here.match

不仅承担着重大的文化活动和体育赛事，如今的奥体中心还是不少市民健身锻炼的好去处。游泳馆、兵乓球馆、网球馆等大小场馆，激发着全*运民**动的热潮。
The Olympic Sports Center not only becomes a good place for the major cultural activities and sports events, but also a good place for a lot of citizens to do exercise. The natatorium, table tennis hall, tennis hall and other venues all trigger citizens’ enthusiasm of national sports.
运动之心，活力之源。奥体中心如同建邺澎湃跳动的心脏，燃动着热情，见证着建邺青春朝气不断蓬勃发展的每一天。
As the heart of sports and the source of vigour, The Olympic Sports Center is like a beating heart of Jianye. It witnesses constantly flourishing Jianye with youthful enthusiasm every day.
