山西财经大学法学院位于山西省太原市。其前身是原山西经济管理学院的经济法、国际经济法专业和原山西财经学院的经济法专业。法科教育及办学历史肇始于原山西经济管理学院1986年成立经济法系，是全国财经高校开办法学学科比较早的学校。 山西财经大学法学院经过30余年的发展和奋斗，已经成为山西省法学教育的重镇和法律人才培养的重要基地之一，法学院在经济法学、环境与资源保护法、法理学等学科都有很强的教学和科研实力，尤其在财税法、能源法、合作社法领域的研究凭借优秀的法学师资团队，在教学和科学研究、人才培养等各方面取得了突出的成绩。学院负责人由副院长（主持工作）郗伟明教授担任。
