lemon在英语中除了表示柠檬之外，还可以表示

Something that is worthless or much less valuable than one was led to believe.

即： 没用的东西，说得好听但实际没有价值的东西。

所以，当老外说：

“My phone is a lemon”是在说： 我的手机不好用。

例：
