One day a teacher walked into the classroom with a glass of water in her hand.

As she lifted up the glass of water ,the students expected they'd be asked"the glass half empty or half full" question.However, the teacher asked,“how heavy is this glass of water I'm holding?”The students shouted out all kinds of answers from eight ounce to one kilogram.

Then, the teacher replied,“In my opinion, the weight depend s on how long I hold it .if I hold the glass of water for a minute or two,it's light if I hold it for an hour ,it May make my arm ache a little .If I hold it for a day, my arm we will ache so much that it will feel totally numb,making me drop the glass to the floor.As you can see the weight of the glass of water never really changes. But the longer I hold it, the heavier it feels to me.”

As the students nodded in agreement ,the teacher continued ,"your stress and worries in life are very much like this glass of water .If you carry them for short time, nothing will happen. Carry them a little longer and you may begin to ache.if you carry all the time, you will be unab to do anything else until you drop them .So, everyone, learn to let go off your stresses and worries."

一天,一位老师手里拿着一杯水走进教室。

当她举着那杯水的时候,学生们认为老师会问他们,杯子里有多少水的问题。然而老师却问:“我拿的这杯水有多重?”学生们大声喊出了各种各样的答案,从到八盎司一公斤。

然后,老师回复说:“依我看水的重量取决于我拿的时间如果我举着这杯水1到2分钟,他很轻如果我举一个小时,他就可能使我的背膀有点痛,如果我举一天,我的胳膊会疼痛到完全麻痹,杯子就会掉在地板上。正如你们看到的那样,杯子水的重量绝对没有改变。但是我举的时间越长,我感觉它越重。”

当同学们点头同意的时候,老师继续说道,“你们生活中的压力与烦恼跟这杯水一样。如果你们短时间的带着压力与烦恼,什么事也不会发生,时间长一点,你就开始感到疼痛,如果你一直携带着,你就不能做其他任何事了,直到你放下他们。因此同学们要学会放下你的压力与烦恼。
