课程设置
学生需要在2年的时间内容完成45学分的课程，包括核心课程，专业课程和选修课。
1 核心课程，15学分，具体包括：统计方法，微观经济学，管理与领导力，财务管理，公共政策介绍。
2 专业课程，9学分，学校提供六个具体的专业方向，学生可以选择适合自己的专业方向，并且在该方向中选择3门课程。
3 选修课，18学分，学生可以在具体的专业方向深入选课，也可以整个学院范围内进行选课
4 Capstone项目， 3学分，所有学生都需要完成为期1年的咨询或者研究项目，为实际客户解决问题或进行分析。
- 专业经验要求 Professional Experience Requirement
纽约大学致力于课堂外的教育。在学生选择的领域有第一手的工作经验是非常重要的，学校办公室为你提供了无数的职业探索机会。纽约大学要求所有MPA学生毕业时具有与其学位课程和兴趣领域直接相关的专业经验。学生可以通过以下两种方式之一来满足这一要求:
- 入学前至少有两年的全职、学位相关的专业经验;或
- 完成Professional Experience Requirement(PER)，要求学生在就读期间在且在参加Capstone项目之前参加相关的实习或者工作。学生通常通过一个学期的相关实习来完成PER(即一学期每周15-20小时，或夏季每周35-40小时)。
