Q : How did you start your career? Any setbacks?

如何开启自己的事业?遇到过什么挫折?

A: Started my career in China during the economic recession of 2009 - so there were plenty of setbacks then.

我的职业生涯始于2009年的经济衰退时期,所以当时我遇到了很多挫折。

Q : What have you accomplished in your career?

事业上取得什么样的成就?

A: Promoted as one of the youngest senior management team members in a major global pharmaceutical company and was able to make the switch to entertainment/media late in my career.

晋升为全球大型制药公司最年轻的高级管理团队成员之一,并在职业生涯后期转投娱乐/媒体行业!

Q : Have you ever got support from female? How?

曾得到过女性的帮助吗?

A: My first boss was a female leader, VP of communications. She was open minded about trying new things and really supported my ideas. This was instrumental at the start of my career.

我第一个老板是一位女性领导,某传媒公司副总裁。她对尝试新事物持开放的态度,真心支持我的想法。这在我职业生涯开始的时候是很有帮助的。

Q : Do you have female leader friends in your life?

在你的生活中有女性领导者朋友吗?

A: Absolutely. Wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

当然。如果没有她们,我就不会有今天。

Q : What do you think about there’re less number of female leaders than male leaders?

男性领导者要远多于女性领导者,你怎么看待这个现象?

A: I think that will change over time and that change is long overdue. I actually find that females are less prone to rash decision making and leave their egos at the door. Some of the most powerful and brilliant business leaders and strategists I’ve met are female.

我认为这会随着时间的推移而改变,这种改变早该发生了。事实上,我发现女性不太容易做出草率的决定,不会太自我、自大。我见过的一些最有权势和才华横溢的商业领袖和战略家都是女性。

Q : What kind of female do you appreciate?

你欣赏什么样的女性?

A: Confident but not afraid to be feminine either.

Q : Do you have any suggestions for the female in life and career?

对于女性,你在生活和事业上有什么建议吗?

A: It is my opinion that many women that I have come across in my career share one common issue: they seem to lack the self-confidence to assume greater roles. This is because they assume they do not have enough experience or skills to perform in that role adequately. Let me let you in on a little secret, many men who are far less skilled and qualified end up filling up more senior positions simply because these men willing to take on that risk of failure.

Because of many social and educational biases women tend to me more risk adverse in general. But I would suggest when it comes to your careers, don’t be afraid to take on that risk! What you don’t know you can always learn and experience yourself. Women tend to be more resilient than men anyways so taking smart calculated risks over the long run will pay off for you.

我认为,我在职业生涯中遇到的许多女性都有一个共同的问题:她们似乎缺乏承担更大角色的自信。这是因为她们认为自己没有足够的经验或技能来胜任这个角色。让我告诉你一个小秘密,很多技能和资历都低得多的男性能担任更高级的职位,仅仅因为这些人愿意承担失败的风险!

由于社会和教育上的许多偏见,女性在总体上更倾向于保守,不敢冒险。但我建议,在你的职业生涯中,不要害怕冒这个险!对于你不知道的东西,你可以自己学习和体验。不管怎么说,女人往往比男人更有韧性。所以从长远来看,进行明智而有计划的冒险会给你带来回报哦!
