绘本赏析

今天我们米莉茉莉小姐妹又准时和大家见面了。米莉与茉莉的农场里有头叫派尼傲的奶牛，她总是在生气。农夫梅洛特是怎样解决的呢？
In the early morning the cows came in to be milked.
大清早是给奶牛们挤奶的时间。
Milly and Molly liked to pull on their boots and hats to help.
米莉和茉莉喜欢穿上靴子、戴上帽子去帮忙。
Farmer Hegarty knew his cows by name and so did Milly and Molly.
农夫梅洛特知道每头奶牛的名字，米莉和茉莉也知道每头奶牛的名字。
There was Buttercup, Blossom, Clover, Daisy and Pennyroyal.
她们是毛毛、花花、三叶、小菊和派尼傲。
“Come on, girls,” he called.
“过来吧，奶牛们！”农夫梅洛特说。
“Come on, girls,” called Milly and Molly.
“过来吧，奶牛们！”米莉和茉莉也说。
The cows all smelled warm and grassy and blinked their eyelashes gently.
奶牛们总是闻起来暖暖的，带着一股青草味儿，她们温柔地眨着眼睛。
Well, not quite all…Pennyroyal was different. She was always angry. She wouldn’t walk at the back.
哎，不全是这样······派尼傲总是与别人不一样。她总是很生气。她不肯走在后面。
She wouldn’t walk in the front.
她也不愿走在前面。
She refused to walk in the middle.
她更不想走在中间。
And she refused to stand still to be milked.
挤奶的时候，她不愿意老老实实地站着。
Pennyroyal grew more and more angry.
派尼傲的火气越来越大。
One morning she was so angry she lashed out at the bucket.
一天早上，她一生气把牛奶桶踢翻了。
“Pennyroyal,” said Farmer Hegarty firmly. “You’re banished until you learn to control your anger.”
“派尼傲，”农夫梅洛特严肃地说，“没学会管好你的脾气之前，你不能回到这里来。”
Pennyroyal was put out on her own.
派尼傲孤零零地被赶了出来。
“You can come back,” Milly and Molly said kindly, “when you smell warm and grassy and blink your eyelashes gently.”
米莉和茉莉体贴地对她说：“当你闻起来暖暖的，带着一股青草味儿，还温柔地眨着眼睛的时候，你就可以回来了。”
Pennyroyal turned purple with rage. She tore at the grass.
派尼傲气的脸色发紫，她撕扯着青草。
She charged at the fence.
她撞断了篱笆。
And she chased Farmer Hegarty all the way home.
她一路追赶着梅洛特回到家。
Farmer Hegarty came out with his mirror.
梅洛特拿出一面镜子。
“There you are, Pennyroyal,” he said.
“派尼傲，看看，这就是你！”
Pennyroyal looked at her angry face and hung her head low with shame.
派尼傲看到了镜子中自己愤怒的脸，羞愧地低下了头。
From that day on, she walked at the back.
从那天起，她愿意走在后面了。
She walked in the front.
她愿意走在前面了。
She was happy to walk in the middle.
走在中间她也很高兴。
And she stood as still as she could to be milked.
挤奶的时候，她尽可能笔直地站着。
Famer Hegarty patted her gently when she didn’t lash out at the bucket. ”Well done, Pennyroyal, you’ve learned to control your anger.”
她也没有踢翻牛奶桶。梅洛特轻轻地拍着她说：“做的不错，派尼傲，你已经学会管好自己的脾气了。”
“You smell warm and grassy,” whispered Milly and Molly.
米莉和茉莉轻轻地说：“你闻上去暖暖的，带着青草的味儿呢。”
And Pennyroyal blinked her eyelashes gently.
派尼傲温柔地眨了眨眼睛。
Farmer Hegarty knew all his cows by name and so did Milly and Molly.
“Come on, girls,” he called.
农夫梅洛特说：“过来吧，奶牛们。”
“Come on, girls,” called Milly and Molly.
米莉和茉莉也说：“过来吧，奶牛们。”
