我们有两个英语单词可以表示机会
1. 这两个词表示机会的时候
1】chance：机会，可以是好机会，也可以是不好的机会，可以理解为“厄运”。
2】opportunity：机会，这个词的意思是“好的机会”
我们先看看例子：
这两个词都可以接不定式和of+动词ing的结构
We have a chance of buying some cheap things
We have an opportunity of buying some cheap things
We have a chance to buy some cheap things
We have an opportunity to buy some cheap things
我们有机会买一些廉价的东西
怎么说“没有机会”
We have no chance 【opportunity】of visiting the stars
我们没有机会看到那个明星
2. 趁机，冒险，投机
【1】take this opportunity 趁机
We should take this oppportunity to persuade him not to go there
我们应该趁机劝说他不要到那里去
【2】take a chance 冒险，投机
Don’t chances! It is dangerous. 不要冒险。那太危险了！
He wanted to make money so he decided to take a chance
他想要赚钱，所以，他决定冒险一下。

5 chance 还可以做动词，意思是“碰巧”
