When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

How much should I tip?
In America, tips are very much expected, and it's rude if you don't leave anything. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the US tops the list of the biggest restaurant tip, with wait staff expecting to be left between 10 and 25 percent of the total bill. American taxi drivers also expect a little extra, although there is no fixed amount.
In France, the service charge must be included in the bill by law. However, many locals will also leave some coins as an extra sign of appreciation.
In Germany, Italy and India, it is polite to leave staff 10 percent of the total bill.

In Japan, there is a no-tipping culture, and you may offend your waiter if you try to give him some money。
Tipping is not expected in many South East Asian countries, although it is a polite and easy way to show your appreciation for good service and is greatly received.
When should I tip?

Table service is food service served to the customer's table by waiters and waitresses, also known as "servers". Table service is common in most restaurants, while for some fast food restaurants counter service is the common form. In a fast food restaurant like KFC and MacDonald, Customers will order their food and take the food to an available table by themselves, so they don’t have to tip.
You don’t have to tip for leftover packaged in a restaurant. However, you are welcomed to tip 10%-20% for food delivered to your house, such as Pizza or Chinese food.

You don’t have to tip for those who smile at you, open the doors for you or just lead you the way. But you still can tip for those who help you to carry your luggage to your hotel rooms, generally, tip 1 or 2 dollars for each piece of luggage.
Have a good time, then!
