wish用法最重要的话放在最前面:

第一是wish的宾语从句中的谓语动词形式切记“四个绝不用”: 一不用一般现在时、二不用一般将来时、三不用现在完成时、四不用动词原形。

第二是wish可以跟双宾语，复合宾语，而hope是绝不跟双宾语个复合宾语的。

第三是本文详细讲解的重点首先是wish宾语从句中虚拟语气、wish的基本词义及用法、wish固定搭配以及含有wish的经典名言警句。

Ⅰ. wish作动词的基本词义和用法双解

1. 表示后悔 的意思，常翻译为“但愿，希望”（与过去时连用，对已经存在的情况表示遗憾）

[主语I +wish+ ( that)] used with the past simple tense to express that you feel sorry or sad about a state or situation that exists at the moment

I wish (that) I was/were a bit taller.CN: 我個子再高一點就好了。CNS: 我个子再高一点就好了。

I wish (that) you were coming with me, Peter.CN: 彼得，你要是和我一起去就好了。CNS: 你要是和我一起去就好了，彼得。

2. [主语I + wish +( that)] used with the past perfect tense to express that you feel sorry or sad about a particular action in the past（与过去完成时连用，对过去某事表示悔恨）

I wish (that) I hadn't eaten so much.我真希望自己没吃那么多。

I bet she wishes (that) she'd never got involved in the whole affair. 我敢打赌她希望自己从未卷入整个事件里去。

Focus特别注意: wish在表达一种愿望，希望事物与其现状不一样的用法，不要受汉语思维的影响，在英语中使用的是虚拟语气的动词形式。

①I wish(that) I was handsome.我希望我长得漂亮，(现在不漂亮)

②I wish( that) I hadn' t said that.但愿我没说过那样的话。(事实上说了这话)

FOCUS特别注意: 当wish这样用时，有一个“时态呼应”的问题。跟在wish后面的动词并不具有与其意思相一致的时态，而是要“改为过去”。在上述①中，一个并不漂亮的人(现在时)说他希望长得漂亮，这里用过去时来表达现在的意思。在②中，过去的意思(某人说过某事)是用过去完成时(… I hadn' t said…)来表达的。这与虚拟条件句用法很相似

Ⅱ. wish宾语从句的虚拟语气的用法

wish是非常常用的实义动词，所以wish之后的宾语从句用虚拟语气这个知识点必须要掌握。

虚拟语气通常用于wish后的宾语从句中，表示与事实相反或不大可能实现的愿望。通常有三种形式：

①对将来发生的事情表示祝愿或愿望：主语＋wish＋ 从句主语＋would(could, might)+动词原形。eg：

I wish she would try again.我希望她能再试一次

②表示与现在事实相反的愿望：主语＋wish（that）＋从句主语＋动词过去式　eg：

I wish I wasn’t leaving my son.我希望我没离开我儿子.

③对过去发生的事情表示遗憾或后悔时：主语＋wish（that）＋从句主语＋would/could have/had＋过去分词。　eg：

I wish you had come to my birthday party.你要是来了我的生日晚会就好了。

* 从句的时态只与从句所指的时间有关，与wish的时态无关。以上就是wish引导的虚拟语气的三种形式。

Ⅲ. wish后接动词时，动词不能为现在时或将来时。COMMON LEARNER ERROR: wish or hope?Warning: when wish is followed by a verb, the verb should not be in the present or future tense.

Focus：表示希望未来发生某事时，不要用‘wish’，而应该用hope。When using a verb to talk about what you want to happen in the future, don't say 'wish', say hope

I wish I will pass all my exams.典型❌错误的用法

Ⅳ. 有关wish的高频考点

1. wish [I or T] formal to want to do something希望；想要

①We could go to the cinema or we could go out for dinner - whatever you wish.我们可以去看电影，也可以出去吃饭——你想怎样都行。

②—Shall we ask Luna if she'd like to come to the theatre tonight?—If/As you wish.我们要不要问问露娜，看她今晚愿不愿意来看戏？”“随你的便。

2. wish跟动词不定式作宾语 表示“想做……[wish + to infinitive]

①I wish to make a complaint.我想投诉。

②Passengers wishing to take the train for 12 should go to platform 10. 乘坐12点火车的乘客请到10号站台乘车。

③I don't wish to worry you but he did say he'd be back by midnight.我不想让你担心，但他确实说过午夜之前会回来。

3.动词wish后面可跟带to的动词不定式作宾语。wish这样用意为want，但是want在非正式文体中更常用。

I wish to see the manager， please。对不起，我要见经理。(非正式: I want to see… or Id like to see…)

4.可用“宾语+带to的动词不定式复合结构”。

I wish the manager to be informed at once.(or: I want the manager to be informed…)我希望立即通知经理。

请注意：后面不跟动词不定式时，就不能用直接宾语。可以说I want an appointment with the manager(我要会见经理)，但不能说 I wish an appointment……

5. wish跟复合宾语结构[wish + obj + adj]

Sometimes I was so depressed that I wished myself dead.有时我特别消沉，甚至希望自己死了。

6. I wish (that)...用来表示对某人行为的厌烦, 翻译为“我希望…”used to express anger at someone's behaviour

①I wish she'd shut up for a moment and let someone else speak.我希望她能闭一会儿嘴，让其他人来说。

②I wish you'd look at me when I'm trying to speak to you! 我希望在我跟你讲话时你能看着我！

7. 表示祝愿，希望[wish 作及物动词跟双宾语，及物动词T + two objects] to hope or express hope for another person's success or happiness or pleasure on a particular occasion

①We wish you every success in the future. 我们祝愿你将来事事成功。

②I didn't even see her myself to wish her a happy birthday/wish a happy birthday to her.我甚至没能见到她，当面祝福她生日快乐。

③I wished her a safe journey and waved her off. 我祝她旅途平安，并与她挥手道别。

8. wish sb well祝（某人）成功 (惯用语idiom) to hope someone will succeed

I wished him well with his new company.我祝他的新公司成功。

9. wish愿望，心愿 [I or T] to hope that something you want will be made real because of good luck or magical powers

[wish + that用虚拟语气]

① I remembered blowing out the candles on my birthday cake and wishing that you would be my boyfriend.我记得当时吹灭了生日蛋糕上的蜡烛，并默默希望你能成为我的男朋友。

②If I could wish myself anywhere in the world right now it would be somewhere hot and sunny. 如果现在我想去什么地方就能去什么地方的话，我希望去一个暖风扑面阳光明媚的地方。

另外，要特别注意wish表示愿望时 would的使用

①I wish she wouldn't sing in the bath. 我希望她洗澡时别唱歌。

②I wish you would shut up.我希望你闭上嘴。

③I wish you'd give her a message for me.我希望你替我带个口信给她。

请注意：虚拟语气 I were和he/ she/it were可用在wish后面，特别在正式文体中。

④I must say that I wish the situation were a little clearer.我必须说，我希望情况能更明朗一些。

10.重点请注意：在 I wish之后， would只用在含义是表达一种愿望，而非将来时。纯粹指将来的话，不能用 I wish… would…，而需用其他结构。

①I hope there will be a strike tomorrow.我希望明天发生*工罢**。(不能说:I wish there would be a strike)

②I hope you will live for a very long time.我希望您长寿。

Ⅴ. wish作名词的基本词义和用法双解

1. wish n. [C]wish , wishes希望；愿望;渴望 feeling of wanting something

Wish跟不定式作定语[wish+ to infinitive]

①Did he express any wish to see me?他表达了想见我的愿望了吗？

②In accordance with her wishes (= what dhe wanted), she was buried next to his husband. 依照她的意愿，把她葬在她丈夫的旁边。

③They've deliberately gone against my wishes and sold the apartment.他们故意违背我的意愿把公寓卖了。

[ wish + that]

①It was grandpa's greatest wish that one of his grandchildren would become a doctor. 爷爷最大的愿望就是有个孙子或孙女成为医生。

2 best wishes（用于信件末尾）祝好，问候greeting，something you say or write at the end of a letter to show that you hope someone is happy and has good luck

①He ended the letter "Best wishes, darling". 他用“祝好，亲爱的”结束了那封信。

②Do give/send Old Wang my best wishes.替我问候老王。

③Best wishes for a speedy recovery. 祝你早日康复。

④With best wishes, Louise .把最诚挚的祝福送给你，路易丝。

3. a hope that is made real with magical powers愿望，心愿

[ wish + that]

①If I could have just one wish I suppose it would be that all the fighting in the world would stop tomorrow.如果我只有一个愿望可以实现，那我希望世界上所有的战争明天都停止。

②Close your eyes and make a wish. 闭上眼睛许一个愿。

③May all your wishes come true.祝你所有的心愿都成真。

Ⅵ.wish的固定搭配

1.wish I knew，译为“但愿我知道;我想知道”。

I wish I knew what is happening.但愿我知道现在正在发生什么事。

2.make a wish，译为“欲望，企图;幻想”

There's a tradition saying a person who folds one thousand paper cranes gets the right to make a wish.有一个传说称，折一千只纸鹤，就能许下一个愿望。

3.wish on，译为“把…强加于”。

That was just a wish on my part.那只是我的一厢情愿。

4.wish for，译为“盼望，希望得到”。

5.as you wish，随心所欲。

①You can't expect everything to turn out as you wish.很难万事如意。
