Race Car
Billy loves cars. So does his brother Jeff. One day, Billy saw his brother working on something. He was curious. "What are you building?" asked Billy.
“A race car," answered Jeff. "One that's big enough for me to get into."
“Can I help? Then, we can share it!" said Billy. Jeff agreed. It would be fun to have someone to build his race car with. And so, the two boys got to work.
They worked hard. Mrs. Smith from next door saw what they were doing. She gave them an old baby carriage.
"The wheels on this are still good." she said. "Maybe you can use them."
The boys worked even harder. Soon, it was finished—a very nice race car!
When their father came home from work, he smiled as he saw the car. Then, he brought out some more wood and wheels. “If you build two, then you can race each other."
Soon, the boys had two race cars. They were ready to race each other in their own cars!
赛车
比利喜欢赛车。他哥哥杰夫也是。一天，比利看到他哥哥在研究什么。他很好奇。“你在建造什么?”比利问。
“一辆赛车,”杰夫回答。“一辆足够大，我可以进去的地方”
“我能帮忙吗？然后，我们可以分享它!”比利说。杰夫同意了。有人和他一起做赛车一定很有趣。于是，两个男孩开始工作。他们工作很努力。隔壁的史密斯太太看到他们在做什么。她给了他们一辆旧婴儿车。
“这车的轮子还是好的”她说。“也许你能用得上”
孩子们工作更努力了。很快，它就完成了——一辆非常漂亮的赛车！
当他们的父亲下班回家时，他看到汽车时笑了。然后，他又拿出一些木头和轮子。“如果你造两个，然后你们就可以比赛了”不久，孩子们有了两辆赛车。他们准备开着自己的车比赛！
