一早来到食堂，先给同学们拍下整齐就餐的照片。回到教室，把毛主任昨天分享在群里的衡水中学激情早读视频，先让同学们观赏了一遍，然后语文课代表Rachel同学起头一起大声读了起来，感觉要比所看的视频还要有震撼力。*疆新**孩子本身就是一团烈火，热情奔放，一点即燃。英语读起来更是韵味十足，堪比李阳老师的Crazy English；本周重点抓早读习惯，一日之计在于晨，早读是一天的打开，没有良好的打开状态，就没有一天的良好状态。毛春铧主任已经把每一个细节都考虑好了，要求班主任加强执行力，让班级学生状态持续好转。学校升旗仪式强调良好习惯的养成：Regulate our behavior and form good habits. 一年之计在于春，一日之计在于晨：An hour in the morning is worth two in the evening.在这一年中最美好的季节，用我们的热情和持之以恒的精神去实现我们早已制定好的目标。好的习惯可以帮助我们更高效地进行学习，只要养成每天静下心来阅读的习惯，就会有越来越多的收获。因为通过阅读，我们会对世界产生curiosity，而好奇和求知的欲望会形成阅读的永动齿轮，促使我们不断地打开新世界的大门。不动笔墨不读书，除了要坚持阅读的习惯，还要努力养成做笔记的习惯。Remember: Sow an act, and we reap a habit. Hundreds of citizens of Pompeii stop in fear, witnessing one of the most legendary natural disasters in human history: the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Russian artist Karl Bryullov managed to convey all the emotions that must have been felt during this disaster in his The Last Day of Pompeii painting just as if he witnessed the event himself. It was established in 27 BC following the ending of the Roman Republic and continuing to the final demise of the Empire of the West in the 5th century CE. The influence of the Roman Empire was profound in shaping all aspects of society for centuries. Its trade with Asia via the Silk Road established cross-cultural exchanges that continue to today. Pompeii, an ancient Roman city in southwestern Italy, on the Bay of Naples, was buried beneath volcanic ash when Mount Vesuvius erupted in the year 79. 然后就一早所读的课文进行段落大意归纳：The main idea of each paragraph: Description of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius (The setting of the disaster)；Signs before the volcanic eruption (Before the eruption)；Eruption of Mount Vesuvius (During the eruption)；Reactions and feelings of people (During the eruption)；Rediscovery of the city (After the eruption) 每个段落的主要思想：描述庞贝和维苏威火山(灾难的背景)；火山爆发前的迹象(爆发之前)：维苏威火山爆发(火山爆发期间)；人们的反应和感受(喷发期间)；城市的重新发现(爆发之后)。Rhetorical devices the writer uses to create a sense of fear and confusion during the volcanic eruption: 作者在火山爆发时用来制造恐惧和困惑感的修辞手法：Sensory details help readers feel like they were there with the victims on the scene.感官描写能让读者有身临其境的感觉。Similes help readers visualize what is happening.明喻可以帮助读者想象正在发生的事情。Periodic sentences are deliberately structured to place the main point at the end. They are used to emphasize, to shock or to create suspense. 掉尾句的结构是故意把重点放在结尾，被用来强调、震惊或制造悬念。这是从修辞手法来讲，类似于我们语法上所讲的倒装句。圆周句(Periodic sentence)：也称作“掉尾句”。圆周句中主要信息在后，次要信息在前，使句子的重心置于句尾，这种句式使听者不能很快地接触到句子的主要内容，因而增加了悬念，起到了强调作用。当然，说到火山，同学们都知道有三种类型，当然也要知道用英语如何表达：extinct volcano (= one that is no longer active at all)死火山；dormant volcano (= one that is not active at the moment)休眠火山；active volcano (= one that may erupt at any time)活火山。然后布置每小组一段的解读任务。

接下来的听力训练Teresa和Susan两位同学满分；相对于上午来看，下午的跑操看起来精气神不是很足。接下来的班主任工作会议，毛春铧主任重点强调：早读是每一个学生打开自己的最重要的时间段，选择用什么方式打开自己的每一天，就选择了用什么方式打开自己的一生，因为我们的一生就是由这一天一天组成的。激情热烈早读，专注投入早读，精神充沛早读，高效卓越早读。格局决定结局。任涛主任从四个重点六个提醒，把本周工作各项措施要落到实处，并组织做好评比检查。班会课在Betty同学的组织下，从班级存在问题以及应对的策略，结合各位负责同学都一一落实到位。期待新的一周有一个新的变化。最后，我按照年级要求把专家谈大声早读的视频*放播**给同学们观看了两边，对同学们的启发很大。相信明天的早读定会更上一层楼。
晚自习期间，有于舞蹈、乐器等排练活动，教室内仅剩下18位同学。期间接到Sharon同学家长电话，晚饭时过来已将所需教材取走， 腿部手术后需要适应一段时间，全班师生期待尽快康复，早日返回到班级这个大家庭中来。
整个晚自习期间，班主任团队多次楼道巡视，查看各班自习情况，我们班级Tom同学专心致志的学习精神，被值班老师作为典型表扬。十点半动身前去查看宿舍情况，三个宿舍卫生间灯都还亮着，内派叶老师发现有个宿舍里面还有讲话声。
