2017年是宜信成立11周年,5月26日,宜信创始人、CEO唐宁向全体宜信人发了一封内部邮件。

唐宁在邮件中说,经过11年的发展,我们深爱的宜信公司,早已不能用P2P来简单描述,而是一家在中国甚至世界范围内具有领先性、代表性的,从事普惠金融与财富管理事业的金融科技企业。

亲爱的同事们:

我是在从纽约回北京的飞机上一气呵成写完这封信的,一路心情都很激动。在宜信公司11周岁生日即将到来之际,我想和世界各地的宜信人一起祝她生日快乐!我同时还写了一封英文信,致我们团队中母语非中文的同事们,和他们一起分享喜悦。

在上个月的三亚尊享年会上,我宣布了宜信财富对于财富管理行业未来十年的预判,会后很多同事问我,普惠金融行业的未来会如何呢,金融科技的未来又会是什么样子。

我首先想和大家说,经过11年的发展,我们深爱的宜信公司,早已不能用P2P来简单描述,而是一家在中国甚至世界范围内具有领先性、代表性的,从事普惠金融与财富管理事业的金融科技企业。

我们通过网贷、小微租赁等各种创新的模式,通过大数据、物联网、云计算等各种创新的技术,为中小微企业、个人和农户提供信贷服务。在宜天使众筹平台上,一个接一个的明日之星,得到天使投资人的青睐,宜天使,让天使投资不再难,让创新创业不再难。中小微企业不仅缺钱,它们从宜信得到的,还包括整合支付、智能保险等服务,使支付更便捷、成功率更高,使保险更简单易懂、匹配更精准。机器人投顾“米娃”自去年推出美元组合后,今年又将推出人民币组合,智能理财,让中国中产阶层、大众富裕阶层理财不再难,让所有人都能吃上“资产配置”的免费午餐。对于极具前瞻性的区块链技术,我们两条腿走路,既在自身业务中积极尝试使用,又通过产业投资基金进行全球布局。

所以,大家看,我们在金融科技处于不同发展阶段的各个领域,都在扮演着创新者、引领者的角色。

拉姆查兰大师说,优秀的企业每五年重塑自己一次。我们希望做卓越的企业、伟大的企业,自我更新的步伐应该更快。未来三到五年,有哪些事情会发生呢?

  • 征信体系将建立起来,实现普惠金融行业的数据共享,有效规避多头负债问题。

  • 中小微企业的“金融力”和“科技力”得以大幅提升,从信贷到支付、保险、理财等多种金融服务,再到财务、人力、营销等各种运营管理模块,都会从金融云上获得,即插即用。

  • “资产配置”成为财富管理客户和客户经理口中最流行的词汇。中国的高净值人士成为世界公民,在全球范围内进行机会评估、资源配置。

  • 母基金、另类资产、长期投资、量化策略,成为优秀理财者求胜于未知、穿越牛熊的核*器武**。

  • 品牌为王,宜信普惠、宜人贷、宜信财富、宜人财富等等,都将成为各细分领域人群心智中最为信任、首选的品牌。

  • 支付与网贷行业拥抱不断深化的金融监管,在更加规范、健康的大环境下,持续取得良好发展。众筹、智能投顾、智能保险、区块链等领域,会成为新风口,但市场各方会更加理性,创业企业的金融底蕴更强。

未来的宜信,是国际化的宜信,是科技驱动的宜信,是金融创新服务实体经济的宜信,是投资匠人齐聚、投资精品迭出的宜信,是每一位同事值得为之骄傲、为之自豪的宜信。

从五月下旬开始,我将走到香港、新加坡和内地十几个城市,与各地同事及我们的客户、合作伙伴一起庆祝、分享。26日下午,又是咱们每月相约的CEO座谈会时间,这次我将邀请几位从事金融科技创新工作的同事,和大家一起聊聊科技如何让金融更美好,如何让咱们的工作与生活更美好。

此次活动的主会场,北大斯坦福中心,也很值得期待,是我的母校与咱们合作多年的国际知名大学共建的研究、教育基地,咱们遍布全球的同事将参加从那里进行的直播。斯坦福中心旁边,就是国发院,明年落成的“宜信教室”就在那里,希望我们明年此时,可以在那里相聚。

Dear colleagues,

I wrote this letter on my way back from NYC to Beijing. Later this month we are going to together celebrate the 11th birthday of our company. Time flies! As a global company, we now have colleagues in Singapore, Melbourne, Tel Aviv, Palo Alto, New York, London and many other cities around the world. The list gets longer and longer as time passes. This year is my first time writing a congratulatory letter to allcolleagues in English, in addition to a Chinese one. I want all of you to feelat home.

From late April to mid-May, I spent over two weeks in the US. I was pleasantly surprised to find that several groups from various business divisions of the company were also there for business.Our FOF investment team were conducting fund due diligence. I joined some oftheir meetings and was impressed. One meeting we had was with KKR co-founder and co-CEO Henry Karvis. Mr. Kravis, over 70 years old, was as sharp and ambitious as his much younger peers. Our fintech investment fund team were sourcing deals- they have made 12 investments in the last 12 months, most of which are in the US. Great momentum in my view! Our credit fund team were in the process of launching their second fund. Last year they bought loan assets from four US marketplace lending platforms. Also in the US were colleagues from Good Hope, which has, in just three years, become a Top 3 immigration service provider in China. I learned that the team have so far enjoyed a 100% success rate for their filed applications on behalf of clients. Last but not least, the management team of our listed subsidiary company, YRD, were doing non-deal roadshow in NYC and Boston. Institutional investors are now much more knowledgeable about China fintech, thanks to our continued market education.

Our beloved CreditEase, a leading fintech company specializing in wealth management and inclusive finance, is becoming aprominent player in the global scene. Two weeks ago, as one of the two representatives from China, CreditEase joined the “Why China Matters To EveryFintech Company” panel at an annual fintech conference sponsored by leading fintech funds Bain Capital Ventures and Nyca Partners. At the United Nations Science, Technology & Innovation Conference held last week, only CreditEase and Huawei were invited to speak, sharing our experiences in driving sustainable development through tech and business model innovations.

Eleven years ago, we invented China’s P2P marketplace lending model, and in the following ten years, successfully grew it to a trillion dollar industry. We have also made remarkable progress in other fintech sectors such as integrated payment for SMEs, crowdfunding for angel investors and startup companies, robo-advisor for middle class and mass affluent investors, insurance tech for intelligent matching of thousands of insurance products with consumer and SME needs, regtech, and blockchain. In the next 11 years, we shall continue to utilize technology to make financial services better.

A few weeks ago, CreditEase Wealth Management (US) received a Registered Investment Advisor license from the SEC.We have begun our new journey toward becoming the wealth management partner of choice for Chinese clients all over the world. As you know, we have developed a powerful, award-winning product and service suite for mainland Chinese going global, and in the next 11 years, more and more people in the world will be able to enjoy it.

Let’s together build a “glocal” company,one with global reach and local touch. We shall unite, through technology, an innovative organization structure and a great culture, with great people from different nationalities working as a team. We as financial services professionals shall take pride in being able to effectively allocate resourceson a global basis for a better world!
