7-Eleven has introduced the Spicy Watermelon-Lime Slurpee Lite, flavored with Glaceau Vitaminwater Fire.

The convenience-store retailer chose spicy watermelon as the newest Slurpee Lite flavor as a way of targeting consumers seeking bolder taste profiles, it said.

This debut comes at the heels of 7-Eleven’s Blueberry Lavender Slurpee Lite, which launched in May 2019.

The periwinkle blue-colored slush drink was made with Glaceau Vitaminwater Chill, which is one of the top-selling noncarbonated flavored waters at 7-Eleven, the company said.

"After the big splash that Vitaminwater Chill Slurpee Lite drink made with Slurpee lovers, we expect this spicy watermelon-lime Vitaminwater Fire will be even bigger," said Jacob Barnes, proprietary beverages director for 7-Eleven.

"Slurpee Lite has had some of our more unusual and sophisticated flavors, so thirsty customers can cut sugar without sacrificing flavor."
