今年第二场艾华拍卖再获大捷
“集邮博物馆”从香港艾华拍卖公司获悉，今年11月举行的艾华拍卖公司成立以来的第二场拍卖再获大捷，成交额近2000万港币，虽然比第一场的3000多万少了一些，但是，也远超其他国际大牌的邮品拍卖行，使得艾华拍卖的大名远扬，估计在不远的将来，艾华一定会步入国际大拍卖行的行列。在此，我们祝贺王剑智会士和他的团队！

1880 (24 Feb) Tientsin to Germany.. Cover bearing on reverse a 3ca + 5ca Large Dragon stamps cancelled by Tientsin Chinese killer, with Customs Tientsin cds alongside. Transit Customs Shanghai (9 Mar). Transferred to British PO Shanghai, where Hong Kong QV 10c/12c blue stamp added, cancelled by ‘S1’ killer, with Shanghae cds 11 Mar alongside. 1881 Newchwang French combination.. 1881 (6 Aug) Newchwang to Isle of Man, England. Cover bearing on reverse marginal pair of 1ca and a block of four 5ca Large Dragon stamps, cancelled by Customs Newchwang cds. This is the largest multiple of 1878 Large Dragon 5ca on cover, paying for double rate. Transit Customs Shanghai (11 Aug). Transferred to French PO with verticle pair of 35c stamp cancelled by ‘5104’ diamond of dots, with Shanghai (12 Aug) cds alongside. Liverpool transit (26 Sep) and Ramsey, Isle of Man (26 Sep) arrival. Large Dragons, p.196。1881年8月6日，牛庄寄英国，贴1分横双连加5分四方联大龙邮票，销牛庄海关日戳，是1878年5分银大龙邮票在信封上的最大方联。加贴法国35分直双连邮票，销5104点阵戳和上海法局日戳（8月12日），经法国邮轮、利物浦（9月26日），同日到达人岛。水原明窗旧藏；《大龙信封存世考》196页原件。

Anping Hong Kong combination,. 1891 (7 Dec) Anping (Taiwan) to England. Strong and clear strike of Customs Anping in red. Hong Kong QV 2c & 5c stamps cancelled by Amoy cds (8 Dec). Transit Hong Kong 10 Dec, arrived Wincester (11 Jan 93). Roughly opened affecting Anping cds. 安平海关封，1891年12月7日从台湾安平经厦门和香港到英格兰。

HO of Customs Seoul French combination,. 1893. Seoul (5 Jun) to Germany. Sent from German Consulate in Korea with official sealing label. Franked with complete set of Small Dragon 1ca, 3ca, 5ca stamps paying the correct 9ca rate, tied by “HO of Customs Seoul” cds in front, transit “Customs Jenchuan” (6 Jun), “Customs Shanghai” (12 Jun), on reverse. In combination with French 25c stamp cancelled by “Shanghai Chine” (16 Jun) cds, to arrive Buchbrunn (25 Jul). 1893年，汉城德领寄德国封，贴小龙邮票全套1分、3分、5分，支付9分正确邮资，销6月5日汉城海关日戳，经仁川、上海，加贴法国25分邮票，销上海法国客邮日戳，7月25日到德国。同时盖上汉城和仁川海关的实寄封绝少见到。

First printing,. complete set in blocks of four. Minor age spot on one 2ca stamp. 6ca top two stamps hinged. Otherwise original gum, age tone. Fabulous! 慈寿全套四方联，2分一枚有黄斑，6分两枚背贴，其余原胶微黄。百年后有此品相极为难得！

1895. Tientsin (16 Jan) to USA.. Cover franked on reverse with Empress Dowager pair of 1ca + pair of 5ca stamps, cancelled by Tientsin seals, with Customs Tientsin origin cds alongside. Tientsin type 2 Registation h.s. in front. Took Winter Route to Shanghai (1 Feb). In combination with French pair of 25c stamps, cancelled by “Shang-hai Chine” cds (1 Feb). Transit Yokohama 10 Feb during Sino-Japanese War, San Francisco ? Mar, to arrive Washington D C. 8 Mar. Same correspondence as illustrated in Tony Kwan, Vol. I, p. 47. with subsequent registration number. 甲午战争期间的挂号封，1895年1月16日从天津经上海和日本到美国华盛顿的封。

Envelope franked with on reverse Empress Dowager 1ca, 3ca, 5ca and 6ca paying 15ca for single rate registered mail, cancelled by Tientsin seals, with Customs Tientsin origin cds alongside, and Tientsin type 3 Registration h.s. in front. Took Winter Route to Customs Shanghai (3 Dec). In combination with IJPO 5s + 10s stamps, cancelled by “Shanghai I.J.P.O.” cds (6 Dec). Transit Yokohama 11 Dec, San Francisco 28 Dec, Boston 3 Jan 1897, St. Johns 18 Jan. Illustrated in Tony Kwan, Vol. I, p. 405. 1895. Registered cover from London to German Legation in Peking.. Franked with QV 2x 1d + 2½d stamps, with “G7” cancels and London registered datestamp. Transit San Francisco 23 Mar with US registration label affixed. Handed over to Shanghai Local Post (3 May) which affixed a 5c Shanghai Local Post stamp, cancelled with registration cds and boxed REGISTERED handstamp alongside. It was transferred to Customs Tientsin on 7 May which further affixed a vertical strip of 3x 3ca Empress Dowager stamps cancelled by Tientsin seal in blue, with Tientisn registration cachet in front. Dispatched the next day and arrived Peking 9 May. Rare incidence of trans-Pacific route to China, especially during the last stage of the Sino-Japanese War. Rare incidence of Shanghai Local Post involvement. Charismatic. RPSL certificate (1987). Not recorded by Kwan. 1895年3月14日从伦敦经美国旧金山和中国上海、天津到北京的挂号封。

1895. Postal stationary cover from Athens, Greece (17 Oct) to Belgium Legation, Peking.. Preprinted 20 lep uprated 10 lep. Singapore to Hong Kong marine sorter cds 24 Nov. Arrived Customs Tientsin 11 Dec (cds in red) where a 3ca Empress Dowager stamp was affixed, paying the domestic rate, cancelled by Tientsin seal in blue. Dispatched 12 Dec, to arrive Peking 13 Dec with cds in blue. Holcombe certificate (1986). #2 in Kwan’s survey. 1895年10月17日从希腊雅典经新加波、香港和天津到达北京的邮政用品封。

1910.. Registered mail sent from coin-shaped “Kweiyang Postal Branch 1”. Franked with 1, 2, 5c CIP stamp, cancelled by Kweiyang cds, Aug. Arrived Peking 22 days later. “贵阳/邮政/分局/一“发出，贴1、2、5分蟠龙票，支付挂号信资，销贵阳庚戌七月五日日戳，廿七日到达北京。贵州甚早挂号信，金钱形状信柜戳记难得。

The Battle of Ningpo :. 1842 (Apr 20) entire letter written by William Meikle, the 26th Regiment, in Ningpo to his father Paisley, Scotland; sent “via Falmouth” and rated “2” by handstamp with oval “INDIA” postmark. On the flap with oval “Military Post Office China” handstamp, Calcutta Ship Letter Free transit, London (13 OC 1842) and rectangular Paisley arrival c.d.s (OC 14 1842).This letter is mostly on the Battle of Ningpo in which the Chinese attempted to recapture Ningpo, “This city was attacked on 10th of last month during the night by about 4000 Chinese but they were galantly repulsed with the loss of one half of their number...” The British defended the city sucessfully and brought immense casualties to the Chinese troop as the writer stated that they “killed about 3000 of their members, with a loss on our side of 3 killed and 15 wounded...” The failure in the Battle of Ningpo forced the Qing government to seek peace with Britain.One of the two examples recorded with the rare oval “Military Post Office China” handstamp.
浙东之战 ﹕. 1842年4月20日邮简，由隶属第二十六步兵团的William Meikle自宁波寄苏格兰佩斯利的父亲。正面写有黑色via Falmouth字样及手盖“2”邮资戳记，另盖有椭圆形“INDIA”戳记。背面盖有椭圆形 Military Post Office China 戳记、加尔各答邮船免邮资中转戳、伦敦（13 OC 1842）及长方形佩斯利到达戳（OC 14 1842）。此信大致讲述浙东之战，期间中方试图*攻反**重夺宁波﹕“此城在上月十日晚遭到约四千名中国士兵进攻，但我方英勇抵抗，损失人数仅有敌方一半…”英军成功守卫宁波，并为清军带来巨大损失。作者写道﹕“损敌方人员三千，而我方则三人阵亡，十五人受伤…”浙东之战的失败加速了清政府对英求和的决心。椭圆形“Military Post Office China”戳记仅有两例存世，此例为其中之一。

(30.6) on reverse, rare handstruck“1”(1 silver groshen, applied in Trieste), rated “2” (pence) w“14” (kopecks) manuscript charge on reverse, very fine and attractive, a remarkable usage to an extraordinary destination, believed to be the earliest Treaty Port cover to Russia and the earliest known Treaty Port printed matter usage paid by an adhesive,also the earliest recorded 4c. single franking as well as the earliest known use of the 1863-71 4c. outside of Asia (one earlier to India), an important exhibition item to a rare, major destination in outstanding condition. Tea Market Report》，. 自福州寄俄国圣彼得堡，贴香港维多利亚女皇像4仙（第二组CC水印；杨目9），贴B62杀手戳，旁带“via Trieste”字样、手盖“1”（银格罗申，于的里雅斯特盖上）、手写“2”（便士）及“14”（戈比）邮资字样。背面盖有柏林安哈尔特火车站中转戳（30/6 64）。贴票精彩、目的地稀罕难得，此例具有多重邮政史意义，包括﹕相信是最早的商埠寄俄国封、最早以贴票支付邮资的商埠印刷品例子、最早的单贴4仙例子及最早的香港维多利亚女皇像第二组票寄亚洲以外的例子。意义非凡、极具收藏价值的邮展级别藏品。
