母鸡产巨无霸"蛋中蛋"
Emma Postlethwaite was stunned when she found an enormous 167g egg which was laid by her hen at her home in Staffordshire, Britain.

When Emma cracked the giant egg over a pan, she found another fully-formed one inside. She then cracked the smaller egg, which also has a yolk and white inside.

Emma said she keeps four hens in the garden and eats the eggs they lay. The “egg inside an egg” was laid by an eight-month-old hen. She said, “I opened the coop and saw it, I just couldn’t believe how big it was. I have not seen anything like this, and I did not know it could happen really.”
艾玛表示她在花园里养了4只鸡，吃它们下的蛋。这颗“蛋中蛋”是由一只八个月的老母鸡下的。她说：“我打开笼子看见这颗蛋，简直不敢相信它会那么大。我从来没见过这种事，也不知道这事能发生在现实生活中。”
The extremely rare occurrence is known as a counter-peristalsis contraction and is caused when the hen is in the process of forming an egg in her oviduct and another oocyte that becomes the yolk of the egg—is released too soon.

Usually hens release an egg cell every 18 to 26 hours, but sometimes a second one is released by the ovary before the first egg has completed its journey.

A stunning photo of a lightning striking an Arizona desert in the USA as a rainbow filled the sky went viral after a photographer posted it on Facebook.

Greg McCown, a real estate agent and storm chaser, took the photo just off a highway. He has been chasing storms since 2004, when he took up photography as a hobby. That was the first time he had captured such an amazing photo.

McCown didn’t know he captured the photo until he checked the photos he had taken. He said, “When I’m shooting, I’m typically shooting with at least two or three cameras, trying to increase my chances of catching something...Having no idea what kind of strike it would be. When I pulled it off on the LCD screen in the desert I was doing a happy dance.”
麦考恩查看所拍摄的照片时才发现自己拍到了这张照片。他说：“我拍照时通常会使用至少两三个照相机，努力给自己更多机会来拍点东西……不知道这道闪电会是什么样子。当我在沙漠中拍完照片并呈现在液晶显示屏上时，我高兴得翩翩起舞。”
