Describe a garden or park you visited.
You should say:
where it was
what it was like
what people were doing there
and explain why you liked it
Okay, for this topic you'd like me to describe a garden or park I visited, and I've decided to choose the former option, and, um, in particular the botanical gardens in my city. These gardens are located in the north-east of my city, and they're not too far from a couple of the other scenic spots such as,um,the people’s park and the, ah, main river which runs from north to south through my city.
As to what it was like, well, I've been there a number of times and on each consecutivevisit I was alway impressed by the variety of native and exotic plants and flowers growing there. There was also a great, um, range of cacti and succulents amongs the, ah, flora. It was really a, ah, tremendous sight .
Um, regarding the issue of what people were doing there, well, most people were just strolling around, some people had baby carriages , you know, and everyone was pretty much just taking it all in . There were usually a couple of photographers there taking some snaps as well.
I should also say why I liked these gardens, and,um,I suppose what I liked best was that it was a very serene place to spend time, and by that I mean it was a very quiet and, ah, relaxing place to kill an afternoon or hang out in on the weekend. So that's why I chose to talk about this place.
