1. Walk around a Peach Blossom Tree
走桃花运
Peach blossoms symbolize luck in love. To attract this luck find the best Peach Blossom tree you can and walk around it three times in a clockwise direction. Evidently this will bring yourMr or Ms Right to your door.
桃花象征着爱情运。
为了催动你的桃花运，赶紧选一棵最好的桃花顺时针走三次。
如此，你的真命天子（或天女）就能降临啦~
2. Get a Tangerine Tree
大吉大利
In Chinese the character and pronunciation of ‘Tangerine’ and ‘Luck’ are nearly the same and the color of tangerines is a bit like gold. So the theory is that tangerine trees help bring good luck and fortune in the New Year. Businessman will have a tangerine tree at home, or at the shop front to wish for ‘great luck and great profit’ in the coming year.
中文里，“桔”和“吉”的字形和发音是相似的，桔的颜色又有点像金。 所以，大家认为桔树能在新的一年里带来好运和财富。商人会在家里或在商店前面放一盆桔树，希望在明年“大吉大利”。
3. Spin away the bad luck and attract the good
转风车，行大运
Maybe your thrilled to see the end of 2016 and definitely don’t want a repeat performance this year. Chinese customs say that spinning a pinwheel wards off back luck, and brings good fortune. ‘Spinning’ in Chinese has the same meaning as ‘change’. So by spinning the wheel you can change your luck.
也许是你不想再经历往年的霉运了。 传统习俗里，转动风车可以挡掉霉运，带来好运。 在中文中，“转”与“改变”有相同的含义。 所以通过转动风车，你可以改变运气。
4. Bring warm blessings to your house
贴挥春，迎祝福
Fai Chun is red paper with phrases wishing good luck, prosperity and other blessings. People stick Fai Chun on the door to make the coming year a lucky one. The gold writing against the red also turns it into an art piece.
挥春，也*春叫**联。就是北方所说的门对、春贴、对联、对子、桃符等，是我国民间由来已久的风俗。
5. Visiting The Flower Markets in the Eve
年三十，行花街
Flowers and fruits hold special significance during CNY.
One of my absolute favorite things to do in Chinese New Year is visit the Lunar Markets, set up in parks specifically to cater to all the decorating that’s required to ring in the new year – flowers symbolize rebirth and new growth and so they play a huge part in the decorating. The markets are, therefore, a dream, overflowing with flowers and plants all chosen specifically to bring good luck.
“行花街”是最为人熟知的广东过年传统，行过花街才过年是萦绕在广东人心里的情结。广东传统迎春花市从农历十二月二十八日（月小则在二十七日）开始，历时三天，第三天延至新年初一凌晨两点才结束。
