2. The stage of post-anesthetic recovery 麻醉苏醒期
(1)Animals should never be left unattended until the endotracheal tube has been removed and
they become conscious.
在给动物拔出气管插管和清醒前，必须有人监护。
(2)Between the stage of post-anesthetic recovery, animal should keep recumbency and the neck
are naturely extend.
动物麻醉苏醒期，应该保持动物侧躺，颈部自然伸展。
(3)Small animals should be turned from side to side periodically to help prevent pulmonary
hypostatic congestion.小动物手术后要定期翻身，来预防肺坠积性充血。
(4)Prevent hypothermia. Anaesthetic agents inhibit the mechanisms responsible for maintaining
a steady body temperature. So the animal should be kept dry. Measure the animal’s body temperature every five minutes and use heating pad, hot water bottle and blankets to keep the animal warm. 预防低体温。*醉药麻**物抑制维持体温的代谢。因此动物要保持干燥。每五分 钟检测动物体温，用电热毯、热水袋和毯子等给动物保持体温。
3. Patient post-surgery homecare 宠物术后家庭护理
Your pet has just had surgery and will require special attention to ensure progress is satisfactory. 你的宠物做完手术后需要护理，来保证手术的成功。
(1) Your pet is likely to be drowsy for 24 to 36 hours. Keep it in a comfortable bed/basket away from draughts and noise. 术后动物可能会昏睡 24-36 个小时。将其放在舒服的床上，远离噪音。 (2) All surgeries cause stress and pain. Because stress can slow the healing process, the care in the first hours and days after animal comes home is the key to a successful and comfortable

We have administering pain medication before, during and after surgery. Still, surgery is invasive and animals can experience significant pain post-surgery. Because each pet is unique, the degree of pain your pet shows may vary. (3) Upon leaving the hospital to go home, your pet will become excited which may result in excess thirst and gulping of food. Therefore, for two days, give small amounts of food and water 3-4 times per day.离开医院回到家里，宠物因为很口渴或进食时而很兴奋。因此，在前两天少量多次给予水和 食物。
(4) Exercise should be restricted until any sutures are removed. Cats must be kept indoors for at least 24 hours postoperatively and dogs must be exercised on a lead only. There is no need for you to bathe the wound, but it is very important that you prevent your pet licking it. Licking of a surgical wound can cause inflammation and introduce infection which may necessitate further medication. The pet may try to remove sutures while licking which could mean another general anaesthetic to replace them. (7) Ensure medication is given at the stated dosage and that the course is completed. 确保药物按正常剂量和时间给予。
