Hannover is back to the top tier after achieving an automatic promotion only 12 months after being relegated, and so far their supporters won’t complain about their form in this Bundesliga. Third in the table with seven points out of nine and a goal difference of +2 they managed to get two impressive victories against Schalke and Mainz and drew against Wolfsburg away from home. They will host Hamburg, whose recent form is more promising than the one from the previous years when they flirted with relegation, as they beat Cologne and Augsburg but lost with RB Leipzig.
The home factor and winning mentality achieved last year in the second tier should be however enough for the hosts to get the three points in a stadium where they have only lost one of the last 17 official matches played, a cup tie with Eintracht Frankfurt. Martin Harnik has scored four goals in four games and one assist, and should be able to beat a team that only a few weeks ago lost 3-1 with Osnabrück, a third division team in the DFB Pokal.
