武昌起义后，各省先后宣布独立，保路军包围了成都。赵尔丰控制不住四川的局面，只得将政权交给四川保路运动的领导人蒲殿俊等立宪派人士。于是，四川省也宣告独立，成立了“大汉四川军政府”，并接管成都造币分厂。为扩充军需，铸造发行了这种“汉”字银币。1935年后，四川军阀停止铸造。

正面是四川银币，中间是海棠花纹，上面是军政府造，下面则是钱币的价值。左右为花星纹。背面则是中华民国元年六个字，中央珠圈内是汉，外面是十八个小圈，在当时代表了十八个省份，寓意十八省人民齐心协力共同战斗
四川银币一元边沿齿短，左右空心十字花星。此币面上文字军政府造。四川银币四字开口，点为心。川字最后一笔加长。上缘军政府造，军字笔画较细，军以点开头，与横折不连，俗称细丝军。政字点攻心，反文撇捺相连。府字点开头，横撇不连。下缘面值一圆，圆字开口。背面上缘中华民国元年。汉字方头二十，汉字地横纹饰26横，上缘民国二字开口。
由于古代钱币易被仿制，所以大面额的钱币极少制造，主要是以十文的小面额较为常用，四川铜币军政府制造当制百文钱在内的四川铜币存世量非常少，而且因为极具特色，发行量少，流通时间短，现在能够看到的极少，这枚稀有的四川银币，包浆自然开门见老，底光柔和，字体线条清晰精美，压力足够，是不可多得收藏级银币。
民国元年(公元1912年)，意大利雕刻师乔治受聘于天津造币厂镌刻模具，并由天津造币厂铸造了袁世凯着军装高樱冠正面像中华民国共和纪念银币，是民国机制银币中的精品。民国二年(公元1913年)十月十日，袁世凯正式就任大总统，同时发行此币。

郎世宁（Giuseppe Castiglione，1688.7.19-1766.7.16），原名朱塞佩·伽斯底里奥内，圣名若瑟，清代宫廷画家，意大利米兰人。
郎世宁在清康熙帝五十四年（1715年）作为天主教耶稣会的修道士来中国传教，随即入宫进入如意馆，历经康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝，在中国从事绘画50多年，并参加了圆明园西洋楼的设计工作。 郎世宁擅绘骏马、人物肖像、花卉走兽，风格上强调将西方绘画手法与传统中国笔墨相融合，受到皇帝的喜爱，也极大地影响了康熙之后的清代宫廷绘画和审美趣味。
