The rising profile of a self-promoted pop band in China has everyone on social media in the country feeling like they can break into showbiz. Sunshine, a girl band formed by five teen girls from Anhui Province in East China, reached sudden stardom over the past month. They have been leading the pack when it comes to hashtags and searches about them on Sina Weibo.
