= turn to sb. for help= ask sb. for help
reach out to sb./sth. 伸出援手；接触；向…伸手

= get down to sth. =set out to do sth
E.g.Most of the time when we set out to do something, we go in with a mindset oftrying.
很多时候，当我们开始着手做某事请，都是抱着试试看的心态。
harness = leverage ['h ɑrn ɪ s] 利用something such as an emotion or natural source of energy, you bring it under your control and useit.
E.g.They will harness the sun's energy to heat homes.
他们将利用太阳能为住宅供暖。
call upon/on 号召；要求 =require
call upon还有拜访的意思，跟visit相似，但是call on社交上的正式用语，指短暂拜访，访问者与被访问者之间一般只有社交或公务关系。
E.g.The mayor and the president paid the first call on him.
市长和议长都向他做了初次的拜访。
表示探访、拜访还可以用 drop in和 look in ，这两个词都强调顺便、顺道探访。
E.g. I think I'll look in on my parents on the way home from work.
我想我要在下班回家的路上顺便看望一下我的父母。

late还可以表示一段时间的晚期，时间接近终了
