中国有句古话"礼多人不怪"，意思是即使礼节过分多了，别人也不会责怪。也就是礼节不可或缺。现今社会，我们没有古人那么多礼节，语言也比较直接直率，在生活中，和很熟的朋友家人相处也许觉得礼节过多显得生分，可是在职场中，特别在公共场合，在商务工作伙伴前，面对不很熟的朋友或者陌生人时，有礼有节，会让你更受欢迎。我这里主要是讲解英语的礼貌委婉用语，在外贸生意，外企工作或者其他和外国人打交道的场合，如果能得体地使用这些英语，将大大提高你的层次和事业的成功率。
1. If you don't mind, would you---
-If you don't mind, would you please help put the dishes in the dishwasher?
如果不介意，你能帮我把碗碟放在洗碗机里吗？
（注：）要求别人帮忙时，或者自己想要做什么，希望别人不介意。
2.Would/Could you please---
- Would/Could you please tell me where the closest subway station is?能请您告诉我最近的地铁站在哪儿？
3.If it's not a problem, could/can---
- If it's not a problem, could/can I call you back in 10 minutes?
如果没问题的话，我能10分钟以后再给你回电话吗？
（注：你因为有事，要现在挂断对方的电话，等一下再打回去）
4.When you have/get a moment/second, can/could you---
- When you have/get a moment/second, can/could you email me those documents?
你有空时能否用电邮把这些文件发给我？
5. If you get a chance, could you---
-If you get a chance, could you water our plants, too?
如果你得空，能给我们的植物也浇浇水吗？

当你得空时，能查一下我们的信箱吗？
7. By any chance:或许，可能

你有没有可能今天把我从工作的地方载到家里？

8.Appreciate it.=thank you!
-I really appreciate it. 我非常感谢你。
9. What if 倘若---怎么样？
-What if we reschedule for another day because it's raining today?
今天下雨，倘若我们重新安排时间会怎么样？
10. How about---怎么样？
- How about if we go out to eat instead.
我们改出去吃怎么样？
11. What do you think about---
-What do you think about rescheduling our meeting?
你觉得我们的会面改期怎么样？-What do you think about eating out instead of going to play golf?
我们出去吃饭代替打高尔夫球，你觉得怎样？
12. Should
-You should probably check the oven.
你也许应该查看一下炉子。
（注：我们中国学生很多时候喜欢用“must”，但很多地方外国人用“should”来代替“must”）
