Preheatyour cup with hot water andset it aside.

Removeyourportafilterand using a clothwipe it outto makesure itclean and dry.

Grind and doseyour coffee into the portafilterbasket. It should weigh somewhere between 19-21g.

Tap the portafilter once or twiceto settle the coffee in the basket and thendistribute thegroundsevenly with your finger.

Using your tamper, tamp the coffee ensuring it sitsflat and level allowing for aneven extraction.

Flush(purge) yourgroupheadwith water fora few secondto clean it from anyold grinds. Remember that cup you preheated? You might wantto discard the water now.

Placeyour favorite cup under theportafilter and watch the espressopour. It should comeout as a steady stream gradually increasing in speed. It should take 20-30seconds, if it looks pale, tastes thin and a little weak, adjust your grindfiner. If it pulls too short, looks too dark, and tastesbitter, adjust the grindcoarser.

将咖啡杯置于过滤手柄下,并在萃取时观察水流,水流速度会随萃取过程匀速提升;整个萃取过程应在25-30秒之间完成。如果咖啡颜色较浅,口感过淡,那么你应该将咖啡粉的研磨程度调细 一些;如果咖啡的量过少、颜色过深或口感过苦,那么你应该讲咖啡粉的研磨程度调粗一些
