Assoon as the VMO accepts the application, the applicant mayschedule an exam for Subject One. If the applicationis for operating large passenger buses, tractors, urban buses,mid-size passenger buses or trucks, a further exam of Subject Threeis required.
一旦VMO接受申请，申请人可以安排科目一考试。如果申请的是大型客车、拖拉机、城市客车、中型客车或卡车，则需要进一步考试科目三。
Theapplicant has two chances (each) to pass the exams forSubject One and Subject Three. If failed twice, you will have tostart over and submit a new application for examination. The SubjectThree exam can only be retaken 20 days after a failure. Withinthe validity period of your Driving Exam Permit, any exam passedis viewed as effective.

Ifyou are applying to drive large passenger buses (A1, A3,B1) and tractors (A2, B2), or mid-size passenger buses and trucks,you must take a Subject One exam for the highest-level vehicletype and respective Subject Three exams for each type ofvehicle.

Residentsof China's mainland who have a valid foreign driving license, buthave only stayed in the country or region that issued said licensefor less than three months continuously, should take the exams forSubject One, Two, and Three.
中国大陆居民持有有效的外国驾驶执照，但只在发证国家或地区连续逗留不到三个月的，应参加科目一、二、三的考试。
Applicants whobehave inappropriately or fraudulently during the exam(s) willhave their qualifications for the exam nullified, and allprevious results will be invalidated.

Theapplicant may apply for a driving license in China correspondingto the type of motor vehicle license that he or she originallypossesses. If failing to meet the required conditions for suchan application—such as age or height—theapplicant may voluntarily downgrade the typeof vehicle for their China driving license application;otherwise, it will be denied.
申请人可以在中国申请与其原有机动车驾驶执照类型相对应的驾驶执照。不符合申请年龄、身高等条件的，申请人可以自愿降低中国驾驶执照申请的车型等级，否则予以拒绝。
Beijingresidents with driving licenses issued by foreign countries, HongKong, Macao, or Taiwan, or foreigners living in Beijing,must meet the following conditions to qualify for adriving license application.
持有外国、香港、澳门或台湾发给的驾驶执照的北京居民，或者在北京居住的外国人，必须符合下列条件才能申请驾驶执照。
I.Age Restrictions

(1)Small-size vehicles, small-size vehicles with auto transmission,light motorcycles: minimum age 18, maximum age 70.

Othertypes of vehicles: natural or corrected vision minimum: 4.9logarithm.

(6)Lower limbs: Normal range of motion. To apply to drive a manualtransmission vehicle, lower limbs cannot be more than fivecentimeters different in length. To apply to drive an autotransmission vehicle, the right lower limb must be in good condition.
(6)下肢:正常活动范围。适用于驾驶手动变速器，下肢的长度不能超过5厘米。要使用自动变速器，右下肢必须处于良好状态。
(7)Torso and neck: Normal range of motion must not be obstructed.

III.Those with the following conditions are not permitted to obtain adriving license:
三、凡符合以下条件的人士均不得领取驾驶执照：
(1)Heart disease, epilepsy, Meniere's disease, hysteria, vertigo, mentalillness, mental retardation, as well as diseases associated with thenervous system and other illnesses or diseases that may hinder safedriving.
(1)心脏病、癫痫、梅尼埃病、癔症、眩晕、精神病、智能障碍，以及与神经系统有关的疾病和其他可能妨碍安全驾驶的疾病。
(2)Users of addictive drugs or addictive medicines that affect one'smental state.
(2)使用影响精神状态的成瘾药物或成瘾药物的人。
(3)Those whose driving license has been revoked within three years ofthe date of application.
(3)自申请之日起三年内被吊销驾驶执照的。
(4)Those whose driving license was revoked for fleeing the scene of atraffic accident.
(4)逃离交通事故现场被吊销驾驶证的。
(5)Those whose driving license was canceled by force of law within threeyears of the date of application.
(5)自申请之日起三年内被依法吊销驾驶执照的。
(6)Other conditions relating to P.R.C. laws and regulations.

Timelineand Fees
时间表和费用
Afterexams have been passed, the applicant is required to receive forno less than half an hour being educated on proper driving practices,traffic safety, and traffic accident cases. Then the applicantwill participate in an oath-taking ceremony. The VMO issues thelicense to successful applicants on the day of theceremony.
考试通过后，申请人必须接受不少于半小时的有关正确驾驶操作、交通安全和交通事故案例的教育。然后申请人将参加一个宣誓仪式。VMO在仪式当天向成功申请者颁发许可证。
Administrativecharges for issuing the driving license: CNY ¥10 (perlicense);

Ifthe applicant has a driving license (C1 level) issued by Belgiumor the United Arab Emirates, he or she may be exemptfrom exams. In this case, a PRC driving license would beissued directly.
如果申请人有比利时或阿拉伯联合酋长国颁发的驾驶执照（C1级），他或她可以免于考试。在这种情况下，中华人民共和国的驾驶执照将被直接颁发。
Ifthe applicant is a member of a foreign embassy or consulate inChina, or a representative of an international organization stationedin China, he or she should be granted a Chinese drivinglicense within five working days (of acceptance) by the relevantauthorities, according to the principle of diplomatic reciprocity.
如果申请人是外国驻华使领馆人员或者驻华国际组织的代表，应当按照外交互惠原则，在接受申请后五个工作日内，由有关当局颁发中国驾驶执照。
All examsmust be finished within a three-year period of theVMO's acceptance of one's application.
所有考试必须在VMO 接受申请后的三年内完成。
