01 原意
用作原意时，美国的Webster’s New World College Dictionary给出了该词的如下释义：
Bitch: the female of the dog, wolf, fox, etc. （母狗、母狼、母狐狸等）
02 用作粗话、脏话
Bitch用作脏话时，为粗俗的俚语，有单词用法和复合词用法的情况。
单用时，Webster’s New World College Dictionary给出了如下释义：
Bitch: a woman regarded as malicious, bad-tempered, or aggressive: a term of contempt （泼妇）
She is a real bitch.（本例取自一英文网站）
她真是个 泼妇 。
常见的复合词用法是son of a bitch或son-of-a-bitch，有时也会写成sonofabitch, sumbitch.
Webster’s New World College Dictionary给出了如下释义：
Son of a bitch: a person or thing regarded with anger, contempt, etc. （令人讨厌的人或事；通常可译为“混蛋”“*娘狗**养的”“鬼东西”等）
After a few irritating hours, Tom grumbled, "Go to the Moon? This son of a bitch won't even make it into Earth orbit."

Bitch: anything especially unpleasant or difficult （特别艰难或讨厌的事情或状况）
Aeronautical engineering, the Navy way, was a bitch .
用海军人的话来说，航空工程是 最难攻克的堡垒 。
From Ed's experience, we knew that climbing back into the spacecraft was going to be a bitch .
根据埃德的经历，我们知道爬进飞船将会 非常困难 。
04 表示抱怨
表示抱怨时，也是俚语用法；既可以是名词（a complaint），也可以是动词（to complain）。
