每次写英语题，动词短语都是让人头疼的存在。今天我们用图说说turn系列短语，希望能帮各位多一种记忆方法。
首先明确，turn这个动词的意思是“转动，旋转”。
仔细看上图中的开关，上面有两个单词，一个是on，表示“（电器）开着的”，所以turn on就可以理解为转动着使电器处于开着的状态，那这个动作就是“打开”。
turn on 意为“打开”。
同理，off表示“（电器）关闭，断开”，所以turn off意为“关闭，关掉”。
此时，要注意turn on 与open，turn off与close的区别。
通过上文我们知道，turn on 可以表示打开电器。其实turn on 也可以表示打开水流，煤气等。反义词为turn off。
open指打开门，窗等。反义词为close。

turn up表示“开大（声音），turn down表示“调低；拒绝”。

turn around表示“转过身”，turn out表示“结果是”。
她转过身，看见了一只猫。
