When we are talking about people from a particular country, we add ‘s’ to nationalities ending in ‘-i’ or ‘-(i)an’, but we need the definite article (the) for most others.
表达某国家的人(the people)的时候，在以"i"或者"(i)an"结尾的国籍词后面加"s"，但是，在大部分其它国籍词前面用定冠词the.
例子：
Brazilians/Russians are … (巴西人/俄罗斯人）
The British / The French are … (英国人/法国人)
Thais/Israelis (泰国人/以色列人)
The Swiss / The Japanese (瑞士人/日本人)
With both groups, we can also use the word ‘people’, e.g. Brazilian people, British people, etc. 上面两种表达形式，也可以用people这个词，比如：Brazilian people 巴西人, British people 英国人。
