《The First Day of Summer》 夏季的第一天
▲"Mama," sad Little Bunny, "I want to celebrate the first day of summer. Can we go to the beach?"
"That would be fun, but I have to plant these roses," said Mama. "I could use some help."
So Little Bunny helped.
“妈咪，”小兔子说，“我想要庆祝夏季的第一天。我们可以去沙滩吗？”
“那将会很有趣，但是要种完这些玫瑰花。”妈妈说道。“我可能需要一些帮忙。”

▲Then Little Bunny saw Papa. "Let’s celebrate the first day of summer at Willy’s Water Park and ride the Splash-and-Slide," said Little Bunny.
"Maybe tomorrow," said Papa. "I have to clean the porch today. I could use some help."
So Little Bunny helped.

▲Later, Little Bunny asked Granny, "Do you want to paddle down the river in our blue canoe?"
"That sounds nice," said Granny. "But I’m making lemonade. I sure could use some help."
So Little Bunny helped.

▲That evening, Mama said, "Little Bunny, I’m sorry you didn’t get to celebrate the first day of summer."
"But look," said Little Bunny. "We’re sitting on a clean porch, we can smell the roses, and we’re drinking lemonade. We’re celebrating the first day of summer-right now!"
