Sure enough (果然)，打开手机看 the weather forecast (天气预报)，显示今日立冬。
Start of Winter (立冬) ，是 the traditional Chinese calendar (中国传统历法、农历) 中的一个solar term (节气)， means (意味着) the coming of winter (冬天的到来) 。秋 harvest (收) 冬 storage (藏)，万物进入 recuperation (休养)、 collection (收藏)状态。
The ancients (古人) 把一年 divided (分成) 二十四个节气，而每个节气带来的 feeling (感觉)真的很 accurate (精准) ，have to (不得不) admire (佩服) the wisdom of the ancestors (祖先的智慧)。
In ancient society (在古代社会) ，立冬也是 a very important festival (一个非常重要的节日) ，以时令佳品祭祀 the spirits of ancestors (祖先在天之灵)，以尽为人 descendants (子孙、后代) 的 responsibility (责任) ， pray （祈求） 来年的平安。
绍兴冬酿开始
在绍兴 traditional (传统的) wine-making (酿酒) custom (风俗) 中，立冬之日开始酿 Yellow rice wine (黄酒) 。冬季水体清冽、气温低，可 effectively (有效的) inhibit (抑制) hybrid bacteria (杂菌) 繁育，又能使酒在 low-temperature (低温) 长时间 fermentation process (发酵过程) 中form a good flavor (形成良好的风味)，是酿酒发酵 the most suitable season (最适合的季节)。

冬天到了，天冷了，每天应该 sleep more (多睡一会儿)。 《The Yellow Emperor (黄帝) 内经》上说：“冬三月，此谓闭藏，水冰地坼，无扰乎阳，早卧晚起，必待日光。” However (不过、然而)，对 busy modern people (忙碌的现代人) 来说， going to bed early (早睡) get up late (晚起) 还真是 extravagant hopes (奢望)。
