腾讯旗下拥有超过9.63亿活跃用户的微信应用程序，计划将AR(增强现实)引入自己的功能列表。
从社交开始，现在微信打算通过使用智能手机将AR纳入其不断扩大的付款、娱乐、购物、运输等更多服务。
微信AR团队通过自己研发的3D渲染引擎，新功能暂时称之为QAR。
同时将作为一个开源平台向第三方开发者提供，旨在搭上即将到来的AR应用潮流。
同时，微信还在研发自己的即时定位与地图构建技术，帮助计算虚拟对象相对于现实环境的位置或坐标，这样用户无需标记点即可与AR交互。
更重要的是，腾讯一直在布局自己的数字市场。
微信对AR的兴趣的始于今年4月，腾讯上传的一段关于小程序的视频，一个类似于Pokemon Go的场景。
凭借世界上最大的游戏公司的称号，相信腾讯QAR将在中国具有相当大的影响力。
