近日，外媒报道了一则更加“恐怖”新闻。一位20多岁的日本女偶像在回家时，突然被一个男子尾随，进行猥亵。

而让她遭遇这一切的根源，竟是自己一张日常自拍……嫌疑人自称是女子的粉丝，通过自拍照瞳孔的反光找到了女子的住址。

The suspect, who described himself as a fan of the woman, was able to analyse clues about her whereabouts from images the woman posted to her social media, police said.

警方称，这名嫌疑人自称是该女子的粉丝，是通过她发布在网上的自拍中找到她住址线索的。

The suspect told police that after zooming in on the image of her eyes, he used Google Street View to identify the station.

嫌疑人说自己放大了照片，并且用谷歌街景功能找到了女子的住所。

Police said he told them he had looked at videos and pictures posted by the victim to her social media and had gleaned clues about her apartment, analysing the placement of curtains and angle of natural light to work out roughly which floor her apartment was on.

嫌疑人告诉警方，在详细研究了受害者发布在网上的图片和视频之后，他分析了窗帘的位置和自然光的摄入角度，大致估算出受害者所在的楼层。

The 26-year-old man, whom police have named to local media as Hibiki Sato, is accused of waiting at the station on the night of 1 September before following the woman home and assaulting her, the BBC reported. He was arrested after security camera images were scrutinised.

"Higher quality images allow for more details to be identified that can help with geolocation, and the more reference imagery there is from services like Google Street View, the higher chance there is of finding a location," Eliot Higgins, the founder of investigations site Bellingcat, which has pioneered online investigative techniques, told the BBC.
